Project Manager – Aerospace Systems

Raptor Dynamix is seeking an experienced and execution-oriented Aerospace Project Manager to lead complex, cross-functional engineering projects from concept through delivery. In this role, you will manage project lifecycles, budgets, schedules, and technical risks to deliver satellite, aerospace, or defense hardware systems. You will serve as the primary bridge between technical engineering teams, leadership, and external stakeholders, ensuring our mission-critical projects land on time, within budget, and to precise specifications.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Aerospace, Business, or a related field.
• 3–6+ years of project management experience directly within the aerospace, defense, or aviation industries.
• Strong proficiency in project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, or Hybrid architectures) and Earned Value Management (EVM).
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to translate complex technical milestones into actionable program schedules.
• Thorough understanding of U.S. Export Control laws (ITAR / EAR).

• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously across teams and company to drive multi-

  disciplinary projects to completion.

• U.S. citizenship required due to federal security clearance eligibility.

  Preferred Qualifications

• Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification.
• Prior experience working as an engineer in space systems, avionics, or aerospace manufacturing.

• Expert proficiency with modern project management software (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project, Monday.com).

  Essential Job Duties

  The ideal candidate is capable, motivated, and willing to learn and grow as the position evolves. As a Project Manager – Aerospace Systems, you must be able to:

• Project Lifecycle Leadership: Manage end-to-end execution of aerospace engineering projects, defining project scopes, milestone schedules (PDR, CDR, TRR), and resource requirements.
• Schedule & Budget Tracking: Develop, baseline, and maintain integrated master schedules (IMS) and project budgets using standard tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira).
• Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify, track, and mitigate technical, schedule, and supply chain risks to prevent project creep or delays.
• Stakeholder & Customer Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for external clients, preparing and delivering project status reviews, performance metrics, and gate milestones.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate daily with systems, electrical, mechanical, and software engineering teams, as well as procurement and manufacturing, to remove roadblocks and optimize workflows.
• Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure all project deliverables comply with aerospace industry standards, customer contract requirements, and U.S. export controls (ITAR/EAR).

Location

This position will be based at the Company’s Monument, Colorado office location, but you will have the option to work remotely.
