Red Carrot is seeking a Journeyman Project Coordination specialist to serve as key personnel on a federal information literacy initiative. This role manages day-to-day project administration, reporting, and evaluation activities that keep the initiative on schedule and within scope across a five-year period of performance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and maintain the project plan, including milestones, timeline, spending plan, dependencies, risks, and mitigation strategies
- Prepare monthly status reports summarizing prior-month activities, project changes, risks, and upcoming action items
- Support development of an evaluation plan with measurable objectives and prepare quarterly evaluation reports
- Conduct project management and administrative tasks including budget tracking, timeline management, and contracting support
- Prepare project transition documentation, including how-to guides and editable templates for ongoing content and toolkit maintenance
- Coordinate scheduling and logistics for taskforce meetings and stakeholder engagements
- Track deliverable due dates and support quality control review prior to submission
- Demonstrated experience managing similar projects, including budgets, timelines, and deliverable tracking
- Experience developing project plans using MS Project, Gantt charts, or similar industry-standard tools
- Strong organizational and written communication skills, including report and status update preparation
- Experience in information, media, or digital literacy research or strategy preferred
- Background in social science (e.g., sociology, education, cultural competence) or qualitative research methodologies preferred
