Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Project Controls Specialistto wo rk for our PMCM group on various rail and transit projects. The client requires 4 days onsite in Alexandria.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with WMATA departments and external stakeholders to develop and maintain detailed schedules supporting track outages and maintenance projects.
  • Conduct site visits and pre-construction surveys to assess field conditions, ensuring construction activities do not conflict with existing WMATA assets.
  • Lead deconfliction meetings to address risks associated with work near active transit facilities, minimizing service disruptions and safety hazards.
  • Coordinate and track design submissions, construction plans, and schedule updates from internal teams and third-party contractors, ensuring compliance with WMATA standards and safety requirements.
  • Implement Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and progress tracking tools to monitor adherence to timelines and identify schedule variances.
  • Prepare and distribute progress reports to stakeholders and executive leadership, enhancing project visibility and supporting informed decision-making.
  • Review track outage requests and preventive maintenance activities to minimize impacts on service.
  • Report on project and track outage status, issues, and recommended resolutions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BS in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field.
  • 8+ years of project scheduling experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Certifications with PMI or AACEI is also preferable.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills required.
  • Proficiency with MS Office programs required.
  • Client focused, always striving to give clients the best solutions.


 

Additional Information

TYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $150,000 - $180,000 annually for this position and local market.
