Project Controls Specialist

Job Description Summary

This critical role is responsible for building and maintaining the project controls that govern the delivery of project management services across a portfolio of various project types and sizes. The focus will be on functional oversight of governance & compliance requirements and integration of project management process, tools and resources, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and client needs. This role supports a team of project managers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in project management service delivery, enabling consistent & quality project execution while maintaining checks & balances to ensure a culture of compliance. Requirements/objectives are determined for the project by each client.

Job Description

  • In partnership with C&W PDS Leadership, develop and implement project controls, policies and procedures across multiple projects.
  • Ensure seamless integration of project management strategies with overall goals and client objectives.
  • Drive comprehensive analyses of project outcomes, risks, and opportunities, presenting insights and recommendations to senior management and clients.
  • Lead the development of best practice process, tools and technology to support all phases of project delivery.
  • In partnership with Program Managers and Senior Leadership, identify areas of opportunity for improvement and innovation, subsequently managing the work efforts to implement those opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain team expertise in functional aspects associated with programmatic delivery, including capital planning, cost management, project management technology, playbooks & process, KPI tracking and reporting, and similar controls functions

Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration or related field requiring the creation and administration of a governance structure for any business process. 

Five or more years of related experience with commercial project management for corporate clients required.

Must have relevant industry experience

Ability to contribute to the strategic direction of the assigned department or assigned practice area. 

Global project management experience is a plus

Expert in client relations, client management and consulting.  

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  

Highly organized with strong analytical skills.   

A proficient working knowledge of accounting and financial reporting, budgeting, scheduling and processes as they relate to corporate real estate, design and construction.  

Software skills:  Microsoft Office applications, MS Project.

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications.


The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.


The compensation for the position is: $122,315.00 - $143,900.00
