Job Summary

Are you an experienced Project Controls cost analyst with a passion for driving project success? We're looking for someone like you to become an integral part of our dynamic team supporting significant projects in San Diego! As a Project Controls Specialist, you'll play a pivotal role in our San Diego project office and collaborate with a diverse range of team members, stakeholders, and clients to steer the success of large regional transportation projects.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

What You’ll Do:

  • Strategic Cost Management: Dive into comprehensive cost analysis and reporting, shaping efficient financial management.

  • Data Mastery: Showcase your expertise in developing key metrics and KPIs, driving insightful reports and analyses.

  • Collaborative Optimization: Work across teams to identify areas for cost optimization and improvement, contributing to smarter decisions.

  • Mentoring Excellence: Guide and mentor fellow team members in financial reporting, variance analysis, and third-party contractor data analysis.

  • Innovative Advisory: Provide technical expertise to clients, supporting project managers in effective scope, budget, and risk management.

What You’ll Bring:

  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience in project controls, with a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, finance, or a related field.

  • Excel proficiency, knowledge of project control software, and a keen eye for financial insights.

  • Excellent written and verbal skills to collaborate with diverse teams and management levels.

  • Progressive project controls involvement in transportation projects.

  • Client focus, always striving to give clients the best solutions.

  • Strong commitment to innovation by creating new and better ways to solve clients’ toughest challenges.

  • High levels of integrity, always doing the right thing in an ethical, fair, and sustainable way.

  • Demonstrated experience of collaboration in a diverse and inclusive team, working together toward technical excellence.

  • Proven experience with contract management including sub-consultant contract management.

  • Experience with MS Suite, especially MS Excel, required.

  • Experience with P6 preferred.

  • Experience with PowerBI and Mosaic preferred.

Additional Information

TYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $78,000 - $138,000 annually for this position and local market. We recognize that each candidate brings a unique set of skills, experience, education and competencies to the table that will be reflected in our offer.TYLin is proud to offer exciting career development opportunities.
