STV is seeking an experienced Project Controls Manager to join our Project Controls Department in our Dallas, TX or major northern Texas offices. This role is responsible for overseeing and managing cost, schedule, risk, and performance controls for large‑scale, complex projects across multiple market sectors. The ideal candidate brings 10 years or more of project controls experience, a strong understanding of program and project delivery, and the ability to partner effectively with project managers, clients, and leadership to ensure successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all aspects of project controls, including cost management, scheduling, forecasting, change management, and risk analysis across assigned projects

  • Develop, maintain, and analyze project budgets, cash flow forecasts, and cost reports to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget

  • Oversee development, maintenance, and review of detailed project schedules using industry‑standard scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera P6)

  • Monitor project performance using key performance indicators (KPIs) and earned value methodologies, providing clear and actionable reporting to leadership and clients

  • Manage change orders, claims support, and risk mitigation strategies to minimize financial and schedule impacts

  • Collaborate closely with project managers, discipline leads, and client representatives to align on project objectives and delivery strategies

  • Ensure compliance with contract requirements, internal controls, and industry best practices

  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to project controls staff, fostering professional development and continuous improvement

  • Support business development and pursuit activities as needed, including project controls approaches, estimates, and schedules

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in project controls, cost management, and/or scheduling for complex projects or programs

  • Demonstrated experience managing cost and schedule controls on large, multi‑discipline projects

  • Proficiency with project controls and scheduling software such as Primavera P6, cost management tools, and the Microsoft Office Suite

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills

  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities with experience presenting to project leadership and clients

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting transportation, infrastructure, vertical construction, or public sector programs

  • Experience leading or mentoring project controls teams

Familiarity with PMIS platforms such as e‑Builder, Kahua, or similar systems

Compensation Range:

$130,962.60 - $149,671.54
