The Need 

For over 25 years, IJM has pioneered the work to protect vulnerable people from violence. 9 out of 9 times in the last decade, IJM’s Justice System Strengthening Projects have reduced slavery and violence between 50 and 85% for very large populations of people in poverty. As we grow to expand our impact to protect 500 million people from violence, we are seeking a Project Associate for Artist & Music Partnerships to execute the day-to-day operations, engagement, and project needs for a portfolio of artist, music industry, tour, event, and entertainment partnerships for the Brand Partnerships team. 

 

 

This position is hybrid (onsite Tuesdays & Thursdays) if located in the Washington, DC area or remote for non-local candidates and reports to the Brand Partnerships Specialist, Operations. This role requires current authorization to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position, now or in the future. 

 

 

 

Responsibilities: 

 

Strategy & Knowledge Development & Implementation 

  • Develop multi-channel marketing materials for artist partnerships, tours, campaigns, conferences, and events; 
  • Identify opportunities to improve the participant journey from artist, tour, and event engagement to an IJM donor; 
  • Track and manage KPIs and budget for the artist partner portfolio.  

Communication 

  • Lead annual refresh and lead project management of core conference/event program pieces, ensuring that we increase revenue year-over-year; 
  • Research new partnership opportunities within the US and Canada; 
  • Act as the liaison for all production, audio, print, digital materials needed for portfolio of conferences, events & tours; 
  • Develop new ways to surprise and delight our partners.  

Events and Logistics 

  • Serve as an integral member of the regional conference and artist sponsorships team by leading the project management of a portfolio of 5-10 key tours and events a year that regularly produce millions of dollars in additional recurring revenue each year; 
  • Collaborate with artist partner leadership in creative experience building for the 5-10 key tours and events within portfolio; 
  • Lead the on-site execution teams for all conference & artist sponsorships within project portfolio; 
  • Develop and manage a robust training process for volunteers utilized to execute on-site; 
  • Manage the budget for all artist partnerships, sponsorships and tour activations within project portfolio. 

General Tasks 

  • Participation in IJM’s community of spiritual formation.   

 

 

Qualifications:  

  • 3-5 years of project management experience; 
  • 3-5 years of brand partnerships, marketing, entertainment, music industry or related experience; 
  • Live event, tour, artist relations or sponsorship experience preferred; 
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field (communication, marketing, business, etc); 
  • Proven track record of managing multiple projects with competing deadlines; 
  • Proven fundraiser; 
  • Expert level use of CRM systems; 
  • Understanding of all platforms (digital, web, print, event, etc) utilized for marketing; 
  • Strong written and oral communication skills; and 
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.
