Position Summary:   

Direct Supply is building the future of healthcare technology with industry-leading products, solutions and platforms to help improve the lives of millions of seniors and those who care for them.  

In the Project Architect position, you’ll oversee the design and execution of architectural projects from concept through completion. You’ll collaborate with clients, other Aptura designers and construction professionals, and consulting engineers, to develop innovative, functional, and aesthetically compelling solutions. This role requires a strong balance of design expertise, technical proficiency, and project management skills. You will also leverage AI-driven tools to enhance design processes, optimize efficiency, and integrate predictive insights into project planning. For assigned projects, you will work under the direction of the Architect of Record and, at times, you will assume that role.

  • Strong design and technical skills with the ability to leverage AI-enhanced BIM automation, intelligent accessibility audits, and advanced 3D modeling tools to transform concepts into practical, visually compelling design solutions. 

 

What You’ll Do and Impact:  

  • Lead architectural design efforts from concept development to construction, ensuring seamless execution through bidding, permitting, and project completion. 

  • Utilize AI-driven tools to accelerate concept development, streamline design iterations, and enhance accuracy. 

  • Conduct site visits, assess existing conditions, and develop compelling design proposals using AI-powered analytics for spatial planning optimization. 

  • Create architectural plans, drawings, and specifications that align with building codes, zoning, and industry standards, leveraging AI for compliance and accessibility audits. 

  • Manage consultant coordination, including hiring, oversight, and invoice approvals, using AI for proposal evaluations and project forecasting. 

  • Collaborate with contractors and construction teams to refine designs, manage costs, process RFIs, and issue change orders, integrating AI for cost estimation and risk assessment. 

  • Stay ahead of industry advancements, adopting emerging technologies and AI-driven modeling to enhance project outcomes. 

  • Foster a collaborative team environment, leveraging AI-powered tools for project and resource management. 

  • Mentor junior architects and designers, providing guidance and promoting AI-enhanced design strategies to strengthen team capabilities. 

 

Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution. 

  • Licensed Architect with expertise in building codes, health codes, life safety regulations, FGI guidelines, and construction best practices. 

  • 8-10 years of experience as a Project Architect with a strong portfolio of AI-assisted design and successful project delivery. 

  • Ability to travel by car and/or plane up to 25%. 

  • Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record. 

  • Portfolio of work samples required for consideration. 

 

Additional Items of Interest: 

  • Experience designing and delivering senior living and healthcare projects. 

  • NCARB, WELL, LEED, or EDAC accreditation preferred. 

  • Proficiency in AI-enhanced BIM Collaborate Pro (BIM 360), Fuzor, AIA Contract Documents, MasterSpec, Bluebeam, Holobuilder, or similar tools. 

  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills. 

  • Professional membership in architectural organizations and established industry relationships are a plus.
