We are seeking a multifaceted and expert individual leader to join our team as the program lead for our suite of AI products across the organization.

Your role and impact

You will apply your knowledge to some of the firm’s most strategic, complex and high-valued projects. You will have the opportunity to drive scale, ensure consistency and reduce risk across the firm. This is not your traditional project management role; we are looking for world-class problem solvers who want to learn the details and be heavily involved in designing and implementing scalable solutions. We act as the “connective tissue” between the various lines of business by applying in-depth knowledge of BlackRock’s organization, processes and technology in order to execute change.

We are seeking a multifaceted and expert individual leader to join our team as the program lead for evolving the Aladdin Studio Platform with AI driven workloads & intuitive user experience. Working with functional squad leads, product managers and our engineering team, you will govern & manage the strategy, planning, roadmap and implementation for both classical & generative AI driven improvements and insights. Specific areas of responsibility also includes coordination with enterprise teams to align strategy, timelines, commitments and delivery of AI products.

Responsibilities and requirements include

  • Collaborating with Data, Studio & Enterprise Product and Engineering teams and bringing synergies in vision and roadmap

  • Expertise in the AI product building & deep understanding of contextualization of applicability of different types of AI across the value chain – data acquisition, ingestion, transformation, distribution, consumption and data governance

  • Product development experience across end-to-end implementations:

    • AI models from hypothesis to incubation to scaling in production

    • Data Science and AI Ops solutions

    • Generative AI life cycle implementation (fine tuning / preprocessing, benchmarking continuous feedback cycle)

  • Strategizing and defining the product vision for AI-driven initiatives

  • Conducting market analysis to identify trends and opportunities for AI applications

  • Leading cross-functional teams to ensure product success and integration

  • Considerable experience around managing risk around AI governance, ethical use of AI insights and outcomes

  • Lead ideation, technical development, and launch of innovative AI products

  • Define product roadmaps and schedules in collaboration with technical and business teams

  • Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders and external partners to support product development

  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to think outside the box

  • Excellent teamwork skills with an ability to get the work done with minimal supervision

  • Demonstrated ability to develop product strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management

  • Manage large, complex, multi-year projects/programs to an acceptable level of risk by balancing scope, time, cost and quality

  • Coordinate the development of product definition and roadmaps in partnership w the product management team

  • Structure and manage integrated projects and programs to achieve expected business results

  • Manage the product increment lifecycle and associated ceremonies

  • Manage relationships with senior leadership team and communicate status and issues regularly

  • Clarify and communicate project objectives and success criteria

  • Manage interactions with eFront and Aladdin Data engineering and product teams

  • Mobilize and manage a team to execute against project plans

  • Lead business and technical design phases

  • Lead teams with multiple discipline representation (especially technology, user experience, and product)

  • Familiarity with Agile and Iterative Development

Your Experience

  • 10+ years of work experience

  • Experience around running AI product development

  • Ability to clearly articulate objectives and influence outcomes

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Experience in business process analysis, design, and implementation

  • Experience in the alternative investment domain

  • Ambitious and proactive – able to show initiative and come up with ideas without prompting

  • Technical aptitude, understanding technology in a business context

  • Experience working with global, distributed teams across multiple cultures and time zones

  • Sense of curiosity and the courage to ask tough questions

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Computer Science or Engineering preferred)

  • Ability to drive the adoption of Scaled Agile practices across global teams. Should be proficient and certified in agile at scale methodologies such as SaFE, LeSS, Nexus etc.


 


 

For Atlanta, GA Only the salary range for this position is USD$120,000.00 - USD$163,500.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
