What You'll Do:
- Lead the program management team to provide direction and guidance that ensures successful program execution in accordance with the budget, schedule, contract, statement of work, and technical requirements.
- Provide sound leadership and team building to motivate, influence, and effectively apply the program staff.
- Provide leadership for interacting with customers and stakeholders within the bounds of the contract.
- Develop and monitor fidelity of the program plan including definition of tasks, budgets, and schedules.
- Ensure that program requirements, purposes, objectives, and expectations are communicated and flowed down to the internal team and subcontractors.
- Resolve resource conflicts, demands, and priorities on assigned programs.
- Work unplanned program issues to a best solution, including development of plans-forward, escalation, and increased resources, as required.
- Communicate program status to upper management on a periodic basis.
- Coordinate needs with support organizations including contracts, engineering, finance, supply chain, manufacturing, operations, security, and others as needed.
- Support business development activities and proposals when required.
- Develop and practice good internal and external communications.
- Engage in regular communications with other program managers and business leads on topics that include customer priorities, program execution, change forecasts, and their impacts on the overall business.
- Ensure all business is conducted with the highest ethical standards.
- Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- BS/BA in related field plus 12 years or more related experience.
- Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master's Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
- Background in space hardware and software development for classified national defense missions.
- Demonstrated experience managing program/project budgets or cost accounts from $20M to $100M.
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple suppliers/subcontractors, and/or large sub-contracts.
- Demonstrated experience utilizing standard program management tools including Earned Value principles for program/project planning and budgeting, schedule development, change control, and variance reporting.
- Thorough understanding of the risk and opportunity management process as related to program plan.
- Demonstrated ability to work successfully with demanding customers, difficult schedules, and technically challenging projects.
- Direct experience with DoW program management.
- Experience with DoW acquisition and research & development agencies.
- Ability to self-start and understand the big picture as well as technical, cost, and schedule issues at the detail level.
- Mindset of leading a program to achieve operational mission objectives within the bounds of the contract.
- Excellent communication, presentation development, and delivery skills; competent with MS Office computer tools including Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, and Office.
