The Program Manager oversees aircraft modification projects, managing staff, budgets, and schedules while developing strategies for growth and efficiency. They coordinate with customers and teams to ensure program success and compliance with quality standards.

BAE Systems is seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead part of the Integrated Sensors and Flight Systems workforce with a focus on Aircraft Modification and other sustainment programs.
The Aircraft Modification Product Line performs aircraft modification work that extends the life of the platform or adds capabilities to those platforms.
Typical platforms include rotary wing as well as fixed with military aircraft to include C-130, militarized civil aircraft, and other platforms.
The position is responsible for program execution as well as revenue, profit, budgetary planning and forecasting, setting strategy and growth of the Product Line.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee multiple projects and contracts to include: hiring and managing staff; organizing, planning and executing work; and controlling program schedules and budgets.
Lead Program Teams and facilitate the communication and interaction among project and task managers and staff.
Develop bid and teaming strategies, to include themes, discriminators, tech and management approach and price to win for recompetes and new opportunities.
Coordinate with customers to provide necessary program status and obtain customer feedback.
Recommend and lead efforts to improve existing processes to improve quality.
Track program against its schedule, budget and phase review objectives, reporting status to management on a monthly basis and executive staff on a monthly basis.
Resolve personnel issues and/or performance problems amongst program team members.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor level or higher degree with very strong technical and business background
Required Experience:
10 years of directly related experience in the US Defense and Aerospace Industry
Program portfolio must include oversite of aircraft mod design and development through installations
Experience and knowledge in relevant customer domains and mission areas. (US DOD, Aircrafts OEMs, International governments / air forces)
Must have proposal writing experience and understand typical proposal cycles of development.
The role will work with the Business Winning team to support new captures and bids
Knowledge of and experience with the progression of opportunities through a phased process and the reviews and metrics associated with assessing progress throughout that cycle.
Strong programmatic skills in Critical Path Scheduling with knowledge and understanding of Earned Value

The criteria for obtaining and holding a clearance are driven by US government requirements.
You must be a US citizen to obtain a security clearance.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Specific experience in aircraft modification programs is preferred.
PMP certification preferred but not required

Full-Time Salary Range: $106654 - $181311
