Program Manager, Government Relations

State-Level Programs

We’re looking for a driven, execution-focused Program Manager to lead the delivery of large-scale state programs. In this role, you’ll guide cross-functional teams  through complex implementations, ensuring scope, schedule, and deliverables are met with excellence.

You’ll serve as a trusted thought partner, operational leader, and primary liaison between internal teams and external partners — bringing clarity, structure, and momentum to every phase of the program lifecycle.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys solving complex challenges, and takes pride in delivering high-quality work that directly impacts educators and students.

The impact you’ll have:
  • Lead cross-functional teams to successfully execute state-level programs
  • Develop and manage detailed program schedules and core PM documentation
  • Track, document, and report on deliverables, action items, risks, and decisions
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks while navigating competing priorities
  • Facilitate internal and partner-facing status meetings and reporting
  • Serve as the voice of the partner internally and the voice of the business externally
  • Build strong relationships with key clients and decision-makers
  • Collaborate closely with sales, partner support, professional learning, reporting and rostering, psychometrics, research, and product teams
  • Contribute to RFI/RFP responses

What we’re looking for:

Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
  • 2+ years of experience supporting state-level or large district assessment programs
  • Experience working with digital assessment products
  • Experience partnering directly with senior stakeholders, including State Departments of Education
  • Experience with interim assessment and/or curriculum products preferred
  • Familiarity with Curriculum Associates products and services a plus
  • Formal project/program management training, PMP a plus
Skills & Strengths
  • Strong communicator who listens well and builds trust quickly
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Results-driven with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
  • Effective problem solver who navigates ambiguity with confidence
  • Able to “connect the dots” and gather information across teams
  • Demonstrates integrity, professionalism, and sound judgment
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Technical Proficiency
  • MS Project (or comparable scheduling tools)
  • Smartsheet
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
  • Salesforce
  • PowerBI experience ideal
  • Advanced Excel skills preferred

Travel: Up to 20%

Benefits and Pay Range:
