Job Description

As a Project Manager, you will partner with the Product Team to manage customer facing initiatives. You will manage a portfolio of projects across various product areas – partnering with the Product Managers, Release Train Engineer, and Product Marketing to ensure timely execution of key feature launches and return on investment.  You will report to the Senior Director of Product Management – Originations.

How you’ll make an impact:

  • Partner with Product Management team to facilitate planning for key consumer facing initiatives; including maintaining a project plan that includes key milestones across the Product Management Lifecycle (PDLC) and Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Develop and maintain communication channels for the Program. Be the Hub for all communications – communicating key milestones and associated dates, decisions made, changes to any plans, and risks with associated mitigation plan.
  • Anticipate potential risks and facilitate mitigation across the Program through partnership with Product Management and leadership
  • Develop and manage to a timeline for key milestones across the various initiatives in partnership with Product Management, Product Marketing, Release Train Engineer and ScrumMasters
  • Identify core problems or opportunities within business processes. Understand the root cause and impacts for the project and other teams.
  • Help your team members to refine their individual project management skills and behaviors. Provide opportunities to help close their skill gaps.
  • Prepare materials for presentation to Executive leadership
  • Other project support and duties as needed

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • You have 5+ years of experience leading consumer facing projects. Large system implementation experience and well-rounded background extending beyond the technical, a plus.
  • You have significant agile/lean experience in a product owner or scrum master role, in organizations leveraging lean/agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
  • You are have experience facilitating program execution – even when you aren’t a direct decision maker
  • You have executed corporate-wide initiatives: defined project plans, coordinated resources, managed implementation activities, and developed all processes associated with the initiative rollout and ongoing support.
  • You have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze problems systematically to make informed, critical decisions quickly.
  • You have experience communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders across the organization.
  • You are highly adaptable in a fast-paced hyper-growth environment; able to thrive within ambiguity and competing priorities.
  • You naturally exude team-building, motivating, and conflict-resolving qualities. You are an avid learner and never cease to improve.

What would make you stand out:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, advanced degree a plus
  • PMI-ACP, PMP, SAFe 5.0, or Lean Six Sigma certified, preferred
  • Experience in financial services
  • Experience with multiple project management methodologies
