Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Program Manager (Level M) to join our dynamic team in Hill Air Force Base, Utah.
The Boeing Strategic Deterrence Integration Program Manager & Utah Site Manager (M-Level) is a blended leadership role responsible for end-to-end program delivery execution and day-to-day site operations.
This leader will ensure program objectives for cost, schedule, performance, quality, and safety are met by coordinating cross-functional teams, implementing sound program management practices, and providing hands-on site leadership. Success will be measured by on-time/on-budget delivery, safety performance, customer satisfaction, portfolio management, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Program Leadership & Governance for Minuteman III, Sentinel, ICBM Futures, and other programs assigned
  • Lead program planning, execution, financial management, and stakeholder reporting for a portfolio of Minuteman III, Sentinel, and ICBM Futures programs as well as additional programs as assigned.
  • Maintain program schedule, budget, and performance baselines; implement corrective actions for variances.
  • Oversee contract deliverables and ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and contractual requirements.
  • Prepare and deliver program briefings to internal leadership and external customers.

Responsible for Program Growth of Portfolio
  • Act as the local Boeing focal point to the ICBM SPOs.
  • Work with SDS leadership to represent Boeing with USAF customers (Pentagon, AFNWC, AFGSC, others).
  • Participate in and drive progress on new business and IR&D efforts that are linked to the business.
  • Provide leadership to support Utah-based proposal efforts while working in partnership with the business development function.
  • Drive integration between Boeing organizations and Utah execution teams to ensure success.

Site Operations & Safety
  • Serve as on-site manager: lead daily operations, enforce safety and quality standards, and manage site staffing.
  • Drive site-level safety programs and verify that work meets technical and contractual acceptance criteria.
  • Maintain site documentation (daily logs, safety/inspection records, meeting minutes, change records).

Risk, Quality, & Continuous Improvement
  • Integrate risk and opportunity management into program and site execution-identify, assess, mitigate, monitor, and report impacts.
  • Lead program risk management and maintain risk registers and mitigation plans.
  • Drive lean and continuous improvement activities to improve efficiency, quality, and schedule performance.

Logistics & Resource Management
  • Manage site materials, equipment, and supply chain coordination to support schedule milestones.
  • Maintain and prioritize site capital expense plan aligned with enterprise priorities.

People & Communication
  • Mentor and develop site and program staff, foster collaboration between the program office and site teams.
  • Own site communication strategy: internal (up/down/in) and external (customer/stakeholder) communications.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position is for 1st shift primarily. But you may need to work other shifts as needed.
This position requires an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.) Also, you must have the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance post start.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • 10+ years performing in a leadership role
  • Experience creating and implementing project or communication plans, strategies, and tactics
  • Experience in preparing and presenting executive level briefings
  • Experience leading projects that require integration across business units and/or multiple functions
  • Experience in project management for both small and large projects
  • Strong communication, problem solving and analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher
  • Experience working with multiple functional organizations from multiple sites
  • Directly participates in establishing, managing and administering multiple projects concurrently
  • Experience in developing and managing technical, cost, and schedule metrics and technical performance measures (TPM)

Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience, 18 years' related work experience, etc.)

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
Travel:
Position may require travel up to 20% of the time.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $204,000 - $276,000
