Description

Salary: $90,000 - $120,000

Welcome to The Marketing Practice.

We're not just an agency; we're the trendsetters in the integrated era of B2B, armed with a global team of 300+ B2B specialists ready to unlock your potential. Our clients include the biggest names in the tech universe. We're talking partnerships with the trailblazers and the disruptors - working with them across the entire funnel to achieve the kind of growth that turns heads and wins awards. We thrive on identifying, recruiting, and nurturing talents and you're next on our list!

What we are looking for:

We’re looking for a leader who can inspire and drive client service delivery best practice across the teams, ensuring an experience that delights clients and is closely aligned to TMP’s KPIs and values.

Our Delivery Directors are pivotal to the successful running of a portfolio’s delivery team, especially at, but not limited to, account management level.

They drive centrally agreed initiatives within their assigned portfolios, to achieve the Global Client Services KPIs and support the Portfolio’s Managing Partner/Senior Leadership Team with commercial, delivery, resourcing, and process best practice.

What you will do:

Client Programs: Shaping and Enablement (30%)

  • Serve as a strategic advisor on established delivery methodologies, shaping how work is scoped, managed and delivered across the portfolio.
  • Work with Managing Partners, VPs, Account Directors and relevant function leads to build delivery models that are scalable, efficient, and aligned to client needs.
  • Support the planning of centrally led delivery improvements and their execution in your portfolio, ensuring a strong link between strategic ambition and practical delivery.
  • If account or program prioritisation is needed, this should be agreed with Portfolio Managing Partner/Senior Client Leadership team.

Mentorship and Team Development (25%)

  • Oversee the portfolio’s CLS delivery recruitment needs, drive the process and successfully on-board new recruits.
  • Mentor the full delivery team to strengthen their leadership, commercial thinking, and ability to manage complex work independently.
  • Champion the delivery craft and create conditions for growth by supporting career development, capability building, and confidence across the team.
  • Provide feedback and coaching that drives accountability, quality, and continuous improvement.

Commercial and Financial Management (25%)

  • Review high level data around revenue recovery vs approved quotes, surface insights and pro-actively drive the teams to create actions plans to mitigate revenue risks.
  • Work with project managers and account leadership to scope projects effectively, manage margins, and identify commercial risks early.
  • Lead continuous improvement across commercial processes, embedding strong financial understanding and decision-making within the delivery team.
  • Ensure Account Managers are fully utilised via proactive management of ‘revenue held’ capacity planning, reviews/reporting of utilisation and sharing of capacity between portfolios where appropriate (includes making sure holiday cover doesn’t impact pace of work).

Operational Portfolio Leadership (15%)

  • Lead delivery planning and operational routines across the portfolio, maintaining consistency and adaptability across clients and project types.
  • Oversee resourcing strategy in partnership with workflow and resource management, function leadership, and the delivery team to ensure capacity is aligned with forecasted demand and team wellbeing.
  • Support the rollout and refinement of delivery systems and tools into your portfolio, serving as superuser and advisor to the team to drive adoption and best practice.
  • Lead internal portfolio communications and reporting, ensuring visibility of operational health, delivery performance, and portfolio progress.
  • Support the team with research and/or finding partners for new asks.

New Business and Bid Management (5%)

  • Contribute to RFPs, pitches, and business development efforts by shaping delivery strategy, resourcing models, and commercial planning.
  • Provide a delivery lens on feasibility, scalability, and execution during the pursuit and onboarding of new clients or programs.
  • Onboarding new business successfully, at pace to realize revenue goals.

Success is measured by:

  • Ensuring appropriate roles are achieving their respective utilization targets within the assigned portfolio
  • Overall recovery/profitability of quoted revenue
  • Your utilisation at 35%
  • Recruitment/onboarding: portfolio feedback, AM feedback and passing of 3-month probation period
  • Training/coaching: line manager and colleagues feedback on AM performance vs the job specification
  • Team feedback on performance vs the above job spec & current KPIs
  • Client feedback
Requirements

Who you are:

  • You’re passionate about making an impact in marketing and have a drive for delivery excellence, particularly within CLS.
  • You lead clients and colleagues with confidence, bringing clarity, pragmatism, and calm to complex programs. You know when to be resilient and collaborative to keep things moving even when challenges arise.
  • You thrive on contributing ideas and asking the tough questions that spark better thinking. You’re not afraid to show your teeth by pushing work further and challenging assumptions in a constructive way.
  • You approach challenges with a solutions-first mindset, looking for creative and effective ways to deliver. You also know when to add energy, excitement, and a touch of inspiration (magic!) to the work.
  • You’re a natural communicator and relationship builder, skilled at influencing, inspiring, and connecting with people across teams. You bring a human approach, making sure collaboration is grounded in authenticity.
  • You learn quickly, absorb complex information with ease, and use that knowledge to create better outcomes for clients and colleagues alike.

What you'll bring:

  • Proven experience in a marketing agency environment (6+ years and B2B experience) with a track record of driving real value for clients.
  • Expert program management skills: you know how to set direction, apply best practice, and keep complex projects running smoothly.
  • Credibility and confidence in managing senior client and partner relationships, with strong communication skills that build trust both internally and externally.
  • A strategic mindset, able to design marketing programs rooted in client objectives and recommend smart solutions to business challenges.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with experience overseeing large-scale programs and ensuring they deliver impact and value.
  • Hands-on experience with project management tools and platforms, and a knack for embedding best practice in the way teams work.
  • Fluency in the essentials (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) with the ability to use them to support clear communication and effective delivery.
Benefits

    • 4% 401(k) contribution with no vesting period: We are invested in our employees' careers. Each individual has the opportunity to build a future for themselves through a 401(k), and we see that as a success for the company as well.
    • Plentiful paid time off: Each employee has the freedom to choose how long they want to be away from work. We recommend at least 20 days of PTO, so employees can fully rest and avoid burnout.
    • Sick leave (15 days annually): Illnesses are taken seriously at The Marketing Practice. We provide 15 days of sick leave so employees can take their time to make a full recovery before returning to work.

    • Company getaways: Whether it is a local office holiday party or a full-blown international trip, we believe in bonding through quality time spent together as a team.

We are currently eligible to hire within these US states: CA, CO, IL, WA, and TX.

Diversity equals increased creativity, which equals better results for all. We’re committed to equality of opportunity and applications from all individuals are encouraged. If you have a disability or additional need that requires accommodation, please don’t hesitate to let us know.

Don’t meet every single requirement? Don’t count yourself out just yet. Studies have shown some individuals are less likely to apply for jobs unless they meet every single qualification. At The Marketing Practice, we are dedicated to building a diverse workplace based on merit, great work ethics, and character. So, if you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with every qualification in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyway.
