Summary:
In this role, you will lead and drive the growth of Vizient’s Indirect Spend (IS) Commit Program by attracting new suppliers, enhancing client value, and expanding member participation. You’ll be responsible for program performance, collaborating across departments to ensure consistent delivery of value, and continuously evolving the program through new offerings, technology enhancements, and tool development.
Responsibilities:

Attract and onboard new suppliers, collaborating with them to create and deliver value for Vizient’s client base.

Drive increased member participation in the IS Commit Program and enhance engagement through targeted initiatives.

Monitor and report on client commitment levels and supplier performance metrics to ensure program effectiveness.

Recruit, develop and manage strategic supplier relationships to optimize outcomes and support long-term success.

Oversee a team of category/sourcing professionals responsible for contracts in Purchased Services, ensuring team effectiveness and growth.

Develop new agreements supporting both healthcare and non-healthcare entities.

Use market intelligence and industry insights to develop and implement strategy, support supplier negotiations, and drive annual revenue and participation growth goals.
Qualifications:

Relevant degree preferred.

7 or more years of relevant experience required. A background in sales or business development is preferred.

Proven ability to build and lead programs from concept to execution, driving growth, supplier onboarding, client engagement, and measurable value.

Strong leadership in team management and cross-functional collaboration to meet strategic goals.

Excellent communicator with experience presenting to varied audiences—from internal teams to executive leadership and industry conferences.

Solid understanding of contract negotiation, bid processes, and value-based purchasing.

Skilled in analyzing market trends to inform strategy, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Experienced in stakeholder management and using technology to optimize procurement and supplier performance.

Willingness to travel.

Estimated Hiring Range:
At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $102,400.00 to $179,000.00.
