As Ninety continues to experience exceptional growth, we are looking to bring on a Principal Engineer who will lead the development of our products and who will report to an Engineering Lead.

As a Principal Engineer, you will be a strategic technical leader responsible for shaping the architecture and long-term vision of our SaaS operations and distributed systems. You will drive critical projects, influence engineering culture, and ensure the delivery of robust and scalable software solutions on a daily basis.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and drive the technical strategy and architecture for SaaS operations and distributed systems.
  • Lead the development and implementation of innovative solutions to complex technical challenges.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align technical initiatives with business goals.
  • Mentor and coach engineering teams to foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct high-level code and architecture reviews to ensure adherence to best practices.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to inform strategic decisions.

What Success Looks Like:

  • Deliver market-aligned outcomes.
  • Build testable, observable, and independently deployable code.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in software development, with extensive experience in SaaS operations and distributed systems.
  • Deep expertise in designing and building scalable, distributed systems.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to influence and drive technical direction.
  • Strong proficiency in multiple programming languages and cloud platforms.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and strategic thinking.
