Manage and grow sales of saw products through distributor channels, develop new customer relationships, and demonstrate product solutions. Requires technical sales experience.
Job Summary:
- Coordinates all aspects of the saw product line, from conception to sale.
- Optimize and mine sales through industrial distributor channel partners and prospect, qualify, and develop new end-user customers in the automotive, electronics, aerospace, energy, construction, food packaging, medical, metal working, and manufacturing industries in a fast-growing marketplace
- The "right" technical product sales professional will possess proven experience in product applications, territory management, customer development and retention, and new business development.
- Present, demonstrate, and sell The L.S. Starrett Company Saw portfolio and solutions to end-user customers and distributor channel partners.
- Work independently or with distributor sales team to develop end-user customers.
- Qualify customer needs and develop new sales opportunities.
- Optimize existing distribution and to increase product market share and new product sales.
- Manage, develop, and grow sales by supporting distributor partners through joint calls, sales training and product training, technical support, problem resolution, and product recommendations.
- Demonstrate, test, and provide documented cost savings to end customers within the territory.
- Possess a minimum of 3-6 years of proven technical sales experience.
- Certification in any vocational training or sales training a plus.
- Expertise in qualifying, developing and securing new customers through distribution and/or direct end-user channels.
- Experience in the manufacturing / industrial segment or industry-related experience in product application is preferred.
- Experienced in product testing, product application, and consultation.
- Skills in prospecting, qualifying, demonstrating, and influencing diverse decision makers.
- Ability to accurately target and develop new business opportunities.
- Candidate must be fluent in English
- Working knowledge of CRM systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- High school diploma with any further educational background preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience
