The Opportunity
This isn't just a traditional QA role; it's your chance to lead and shape the quality of our products from end-to-end. As a Product Quality Lead, you'll own the quality strategy for one or more development teams, ensuring the overall quality and coherence of new features while upholding the excellence of existing ones. This highly influential role calls for leadership, abstract thinking, and significant agency, guiding the product in a better direction.
You'll need strong time management and project management skills to juggle diverse tasks and ensure all deliverables are met. You'll also bring robust technical skills, including the ability to write and debug automated tests and use tools like Postman for API testing. Beyond the technical, you'll serve as a leader within the organization, speaking with authority and conviction.
This is a unique opportunity to blend aspects of product management, quality assurance, development, and leadership. You'll be empowered to exercise substantial agency and make a real impact, driving our product in the best possible direction.
What You’ll do:
As a Product Quality Lead, you'll be instrumental in delivering high-quality products. You'll collaborate closely with the Tech Lead, Designer, and Product Owner to define the quality strategy and create comprehensive end-to-end test cases. You'll also understand the existing automated test coverage (unit, Jest, end-to-end) for features, strategically identify gaps, and define plans for manual testing to ensure complete coverage. This includes actively planning initiatives to increase automated test coverage, ultimately reducing reliance on manual efforts. You'll inherently know what to test and how to test efficiently, ensuring no wasted effort in our pursuit of quality.
Your impact extends to communication and collaboration. You'll effectively communicate within ticketing systems by creating clear, well-scoped Jira tickets. Furthermore, you will communicate across diverse channels, including detailed test plans, engaging demos of features and results, and day-to-day interactions via email, Slack, and in-person discussions.
