The Product & Privacy Counsel will navigate legal aspects of product development, AI, privacy, and security, while advising on compliance and regulatory issues. Responsibilities include developing policies, managing legal risks, and working collaboratively with business units on strategic initiatives.
The Ideal Candidate Will Possess:
- JD or equivalent degree.
- 7 years of attorney level experience, with a mix of in-house and law firm.
- Relevant experience in commercial contracts, strategic partnership transactions, privacy and intellectual property matters, and/or product counseling.
- Admitted to the bar and in good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law (e.g., have registered in-house status) in the state where the position is located.
- Experience negotiating cloud technology and strategic partnership agreements including terms for cloud platform services and preferred experience with AI products.
- Experience providing pragmatic advice to business teams on intellectual property issues, privacy matters, and other complex legal issues involving AI products.
- Excellent organizational skills and demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and projects under tight deadlines.
- Collaborative, with initiative and willingness to work cross functionally.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Review, draft, and negotiate complex cloud technology agreements, including strategic partnership agreements, product development agreements, and other necessary customer terms to support the growth of the cloud AI business.
- Provide legal advice to teams such as Product, Sales, and Partnerships summarizing and communicating legal concepts and risks in a way that is meaningful for business teams.
- Advise business clients, as well as other stakeholders, on legal issues and risks, approval processes, company policies and procedures, IP, and business strategy.
- Operationalize or implement data privacy and security requirements, manage security incident response, oversee and implement AI governance and other compliance programs, and assess and advise on the impact of new global regulations.

- We reward our employees. The salary range for this position is between $168,000 - $200,000 based on market data, relevant years of experience, and skills. You may qualify for a bonus in addition to base salary; bonus amounts are determined based on company and individual performance. We also provide equity compensation to eligible employees, including equity grants upon hire and the option to participate in our Employee Stock Purchase Program.
