The Product Owner is responsible for leading the day-to-day digital product development efforts that will solve critical pain points for both our customers and our associates.

What You’ll Do

  • Establish and constantly foster strong working relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure clear and direct communication around short-term product efforts

  • Build and continually maintain a 4-6 week sprint backlog that supports the digital product roadmap, preparing user stories and bugs with appropriate requirements and acceptance criteria for the engineering and testing teams

  • Partner with product designers in the creation of user-interface artifacts

  • Partner with software engineers to gain a high-level understanding of the technology integrations that enable the product capabilities within their domain

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to establish good working knowledge of the operational processes in the IH landscape that may be impacted with each new product development effort

  • Drive a cross-functional software development team to deliver on technology commitments

  • Constantly prioritize user stories; balance feature development, defects, and tech debt according to company priorities

  • Perform user acceptance testing for completed stories and bugs

  • Orchestrate product review sessions with stakeholders; gracefully accept feedback and maintain flexibility as product requirements and priorities evolve

  • Generate release and knowledge base documentation

  • Partner on field training activities where needed

  • Serve as a resource for the production support team to investigate and resolve product defects

Who We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience in a product owner/product manager role

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Experience in real estate, travel, or retail preferred

  • Experience with Agile/Scrum software delivery

  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) preferred

  • Good business and technical acumen

  • Ability to communicate complex information in simple terms to a wide variety of audiences

  • Good written and oral communication skills and an ability to work collaboratively

  • Ability to negotiate without being adversarial

  • Empathy for the customer and associate experiences as an equal footing input to prioritization

  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority

  • Strong teamwork skills; strong ability to motivate engineering teams and foster creativity

  • Strong ability to manage expectations while making others feel heard and respected

  • Willing to go above and beyond while taking ownership of needs that exist

  • Serve as a problem-solver and embrace change

Salary RangeThe salary range for this position is: $82,800.00 - $143,520.00, plus individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws.
