Location: We prefer candidates based in the Denver, CO area, but we are open to considering qualified candidates located elsewhere in the U.S. for remote work.

Salary range: $115K-$135K annually, bonus eligible

***This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, blending the benefits of in-office collaboration with remote flexibility. You'll be required to work from our office in downtown Denver, CO, on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. To ensure a productive remote work experience, we provide a home office setup. Partial parking subsidy provided - $50 per pay period/biweekly.

Job Description

As a Product Owner at Convey, you will play a pivotal role in the development and delivery of our SaaS communication solutions tailored for utility and highly regulated industries. You will work closely with Product Managers, engineering teams, and other stakeholders to translate strategic goals into actionable user stories, prioritize the product backlog, and ensure timely delivery of high-impact features.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategy Alignment: Translate product strategy and roadmap into well-defined user stories and requirements for development teams

  • Product Backlog Management: For multiple products, own and manage the product backlog, prioritizing features based on business value, customer needs, support needs and technical feasibility

  • Cross-Functional collaboration: Collaborate daily with cross-functional teams, including engineering, QA, and UX, to deliver high-quality product increments

  • Customer Advocacy: Serve as the voice of the customer and internal stakeholders throughout the product development lifecycle

  • Sprint Facilitation: Ensure the team has a clear understanding of what to build and why, facilitating backlog grooming, sprint planning, acceptance criteria and sprint reviews

  • Product Monitoring: Monitor product performance, gather feedback, and adjust backlog priorities accordingly

  • Go-to-market support: Collaborate with cross-functional teams and support go-to-market activities by providing product insights and ensuring alignment with business objectives

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Computer Science, or a related field

  • 3–5 years of experience as a Product Owner or similar role in an Agile environment, ideally in SaaS or communications technology

  • Experience in the utilities or communication sector is preferred

  • Strong skills in writing user stories, defining acceptance criteria, and backlog management

  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills

  • Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and deliver products in a fast-paced environment

  • Familiarity with Agile frameworks such as Scrum and relevant tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence)

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with messaging platforms, APIs, and communication workflows.

  • Understanding of enterprise utilities—experience with electric, gas, or water utilities is a major plus.

  • Agile certifications (e.g., CSPO, SAFe PO/PM)

  • Familiarity with other product tools such as ProductBoard, Aha!
