Youtopia, a Colorado-based startup, has an opening for a Product Owner. This role is full time in office based. Candidates must reside in the greater Denver Metro area. Candidates must be US citizens, no visa sponsorship.

The strongest fits for this role will have exposure to some or all of these skills and tools:

• Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Confluence)

• Product management frameworks for defining and prioritizing product features

• Experience with user story creation, backlog grooming, and sprint planning

• Familiarity with UI/UX design principles and collaboration with design tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe XD)

• Understanding of software development processes for web and mobile applications

• Experience working with cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, and stakeholders

• Knowledge of product analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Mixpanel) for tracking user behavior and product performance

• Ability to translate complex business requirements into clear, actionable technical specifications

• Familiarity with AI-driven platforms and health-related technologies

• Experience conducting user research, interviews, and usability testing

• Strong understanding of B2B/B2C product development and customer journeys

• Proficiency in defining KPIs and success metrics for product features

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Engage with and make real the product vision and roadmap for Youtopia’s AI-driven precision nourishment platform, ensuring alignment with business goals and user needs.

• Define, prioritize, and manage the product backlog, creating clear user stories and acceptance criteria for web and mobile applications.

• Collaborate closely with engineering, design, and marketing teams to deliver high-quality, user-centric features that support personalized nutrition solutions.

• Lead agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives, fostering a collaborative and efficient development process.

• Engage with stakeholders, including medical and nutrition experts, to gather requirements and ensure the platform meets clinical and user expectations.

• Conduct user research and usability testing to validate product assumptions and refine features based on user feedback.

• Work with designers to ensure UI/UX aligns with the product vision and delivers an intuitive, engaging experience for B2B/B2C users.

• Partner with engineers to assess technical feasibility, clarify requirements, and balance trade-offs within project constraints (time, scope, budget).

• Define and track KPIs and success metrics to measure product performance and drive continuous improvement.

• Communicate product progress, challenges, and successes transparently to stakeholders and team members.

• Stay informed about market trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies in health, nutrition, and AI to inform product strategy.

• Advocate for the user, ensuring the product delivers personalized, accessible, and impactful solutions for health optimization.

• Manage multiple priorities and projects, ensuring timely delivery of features while maintaining alignment with the overall product vision.

• Mentor team members on product management best practices and foster a collaborative, innovative team environment.

• Proactively identify risks, resolve blockers, and escalate issues when necessary to keep the product development on track.

Skill Set:

Hard Skills:

• 6+ years of experience as a Product Owner / Product Manager, with a proven track record of delivering successful web and mobile products.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Computer Science, or a related field required.

• Strong expertise in agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and proficiency with tools like Jira, Trello, or Confluence.

• Experience creating user stories, managing product backlogs, and defining acceptance criteria.

• Familiarity with UI/UX design principles and collaboration with design tools like Figma or Adobe XD.

• Understanding of software development processes, particularly for hybrid web and mobile applications.

• Experience working with cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, and business stakeholders.

• Proficiency in product analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Mixpanel) to track user behavior and product performance.

• Ability to translate complex business and user requirements into clear, actionable technical specifications.

• Familiarity with AI-driven platforms or health-related technologies is a plus.
