POSITION SUMMARY
The Product Owner – Digital Operations is responsible for leading the evolution of the bank’s digital channels by translating vendor capabilities, customer needs, and operational requirements into actionable enhancements. This role researches digital banking trends, prioritizes features, manages the digital roadmap, and ensures the organization is prepared for smooth delivery of new capabilities. The Product Owner acts as a primary liaison between vendors, internal teams, and customer-facing business lines to deliver exceptional digital experiences and operational readiness. Engage with vendors, in coordination with Digital Operations leadership, to understand upcoming capabilities and evaluate their relevance. While the Product Owner may lead aspects of vendor communication, strategic direction and key discussions may also be conducted by Digital Operations leadership. The Product Owner will serve as the primary Sunrise representative on recurring monthly vendor calls (e.g., Q2, Urban FT), leading discussions, driving follow-ups, and ensuring actionable outcomes, collaborating with the Director of Digital Operations and other business line leaders as appropriate.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Research and evaluate new digital banking features from vendors; develop business cases and make recommendations for roadmap inclusion.
- Own and manage the digital banking roadmap, including release planning, test coordination, readiness preparation, and deployment execution.
- Lead monthly operational and roadmap-focused calls with key digital banking vendors (e.g., Q2, Urban FT), serving as the primary Sunrise representative and ensuring structured follow-up and execution of action items.
- Engage collaboratively with Digital Operations leadership on vendor strategy, with leadership participating in calls as needed to provide strategic direction.
- Create and execute test plans, coordinate cross‑departmental testing, document results, and provide go/no‑go recommendations.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and marketing to ensure clear communication of planned changes, benefits, and impacts to customers and employees.
- Actively build and maintain strong vendor relationships; represent the bank in user groups and peer institution networks.
- Ensure digital channels comply with security standards, regulatory expectations, and internal controls.
- Maintain documented issues, enhancement requests, and vendor tickets; ensure timely follow‑up and resolution.
- Support marketing initiatives that drive digital channel adoption and customer satisfaction.
- Serve as a cross‑trained backup to other Digital Operations team members as needed.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in a business‑related field or equivalent experience preferred.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in banking, prepaid, or financial operations.
- Experience with Q2ebanking is beneficial.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Experience managing projects, releases, or cross‑functional initiatives.
- Ability to clearly present information to employees and leadership.
- High proficiency with Microsoft applications.
- Experience in product improvement, innovation, or digital product management preferred.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Annual salary range DOQ: $48,747 - $69,638 - $90,530
