Description

Sprout Social is looking to hire a Product Marketing Manager III to join our fast-growing Influencer Marketing (IM) business. This is a high-visibility, high-impact role where you’ll shape how the world’s biggest brands and agencies discover, activate, and measure creator partnerships through Sprout’s award-winning Influencer Marketing platform.

As one of the fastest-growing areas of social media—sitting at the intersection of content, creativity, and performance—Sprout is uniquely positioned to define what’s next. You’ll partner with some of the most innovative minds across Product, Sales, and Marketing to bring that vision to life, translating customer needs and market trends into powerful go-to-market strategies, launches, and stories that drive awareness, adoption, and growth.

Why join Sprout’s Marketing team?

At Sprout Social, we don’t just market products—we set the pace for how breakthrough brands connect with the world. We are social intelligence powering the future of customer connection, and our Marketing team is a driving force behind turning that vision into reality.

We put our customers at the heart of our strategy to drive market leadership, generate demand, and increase customer retention—all in close partnership with our Sales and CX teams. We lead with clarity, act with speed, and measure success by the business results we create. Here, you’ll have the freedom to test bold ideas, learn fast, and shape the future—not only for Sprout, but for the global brands we empower.

If you’re ready to set the bar higher, own your impact, and accelerate your career, this is where you belong.

Our Product Marketing team sits at the center of many strategic initiatives that drive product awareness, growth, and adoption. The speed of product innovation combined with our strategic partnerships allows us to move with purpose and maintain a steady drumbeat of launches and campaigns that drive the business forward.

What you’ll do
  • Partner closely with an industry-leading Product organization and cross-functional teams to deeply understand our customers and products, shaping cohesive positioning and messaging that unlock creative, high-impact go-to-market strategies.

  • Steer product messaging, positioning, and go-to-market strategy for the Influencer Marketing business, driving visibility, adoption, and revenue growth.

  • Lead feature and product launches end-to-end—defining success, aligning stakeholders, developing compelling collateral, and driving strategic execution that brings innovation to market.

  • Build deep expertise across the social, marketing, and influencer marketing industries, identifying emerging trends, customer needs, and growth opportunities that inform strategy and product direction.

  • Monitor lead generation, pipeline, and customer acquisition for the Influencer Marketing business; identify opportunities to accelerate growth and strengthen retention.

  • Track competitor updates and positioning to build a deep understanding of their offerings, maintaining up-to-date intelligence that equips Sales and Customer Success with insights and talking points for customer meetings, objection handling, and differentiation.

  • Lead cross-functional initiatives that help internal teams understand key product use cases and selling narratives—driving awareness, new customer sales, and product expansion across the current Sprout customer base.

  • Collaborate across Marketing, Sales, and Success to identify and fill marketing gaps, driving and protecting revenue, improving efficiency, and creating stronger go-to-market launches both internally and externally.

  • Influence product strategy by sharing market intelligence, customer insights, and competitive analysis that shape the roadmap and reinforce Sprout’s leadership position.

What you’ll bring

Sprout Social is looking for a Product Marketer with exceptional communication skills, a passion for learning and product knowledge, and a desire to build new stories and strategies with us. Your skills are part creative, part analytical, and always centered around using qualitative and quantitative analysis to make data-informed decisions. You understand how to define KPIs and create plans to meet your goals. You’re comfortable working with ambiguity and shaping strategy in a high-growth environment.

Minimum qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in marketing, growth, partner, or lifecycle marketing.

  • 4+ years of product marketing experience.

  • Exceptional communication skills with cross-functional and external partners.

  • Demonstrated success in driving go-to-market campaigns with strong project management skills.

  • Ability to travel internationally as needed.

  • Lead with AI: Research, experiment, and implement new technology and approaches from the rapidly evolving AI toolset—not only to accelerate the work of the Product Marketing team, but to transform how the team operates and delivers value to the business.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in influencer marketing.

  • Strong storytelling and campaign-building skills, with the ability to craft and refine joint narratives with partners.

  • Previous experience in the software/SaaS industry.

How you’ll grow

Within 1 month, you’ll plant your roots by:

  • Attending Sales onboarding to understand how we position our solutions and value to customers.

  • Developing a firm understanding of Sprout’s brand positioning, voice, and key messages.

  • Getting to know your fellow Product Marketers and meeting key stakeholders across Product, Customer Marketing, Brand Creative, Sales, and Customer Success.

  • Soaking up knowledge from every team you interact with—and asking lots of questions!

Within 3 months, you’ll start hitting your stride by:

  • Learning Marketing and Brand Creative processes and rituals (i.e., how we get work done) and executing campaigns effectively.

  • Gaining familiarity with Sprout’s product strategy, development lifecycle, and go-to-market framework.

  • Becoming comfortable with Sprout’s value propositions and customer personas.

  • Understanding the social media management industry and competitive landscape.

  • Planning and executing your first integrated product campaign—from start to finish.

  • Partnering closely with fellow Product Marketers to understand our platform end-to-end.

  • Learning about Sales and Success segments and the nuances of different teams’ needs.

  • Engaging daily with internal teams—including Product, Marketing, Sales, Creative, Account Management, and Support—to extract insights and identify opportunities.

Within 6 months, you’ll make a clear impact by:

  • Continuing to strengthen cross-functional relationships and sharing insights across teams.

  • Developing a strong understanding of customer needs and use cases that drive value.

  • Building a close partnership with Product Management to identify key opportunities for strategic campaigns.

  • Partnering with Revenue Enablement to develop content and training materials for Sales and Success.

  • Collaborating with the Go-To-Market Product Marketing team to align roadmaps that drive awareness, revenue, and adoption.

Within 12 months, you’ll make this role your own by:

  • Deeply understanding customer needs, use cases, and how our platform and integrations deliver value.

  • Identifying opportunities to close competitive gaps—both for internal enablement and product vision.

  • Conducting market and customer research to complement insights gathered by Customer Marketing and Market Strategy, informing lifecycle strategies.

  • Refining product messaging and positioning for your owned product areas.

  • Working proactively with the broader Product Marketing team to elevate the creativity and impact of our growth, adoption, and go-to-market strategies.

  • Surprising us! Use your unique ideas and abilities to shape our team and marketing efforts in ways we haven’t even considered yet.

Of course, the timeline above represents our ideal scenario—things may shift based on business needs, and other projects or priorities may be added at your manager’s discretion.
