We're Scan.com. We're building America's national imaging network: the infrastructure that connects patients, providers, and payers to faster, better-value diagnostic imaging. Thousands of patients move through our platform every day, and each is a real person waiting for an answer to a healthcare concern. We exist to get them that answer faster.

We manage the medical imaging pathway end-to-end. Providers order through a single point of entry, and from there, we run the entire medical diagnostic pathway. Managing the full pathway, rather than brokering pieces of it, is what lets us deliver imaging faster, at higher quality, and at a lower cost than the fragmented status quo.

We're looking for a Product Marketing Director, Self-Funded Employers & Health Plans at an exciting time. We've raised over $200m in funding to date, reached profitability, and are growing 100% year on year.

Millions of people wait too long for a diagnosis. Come help us fix that.

WHAT YOU WILL ACHIEVE IN THIS ROLE:

You'll own product marketing for Scan.com's self-funded employer and health plan business lines. You'll report to the VP, Marketing and work closely with multiple teams across the business, including Sales, Product, RevOps and Finance.

Your job is to help Sales win. That means clear positioning, credible evidence and materials that move buying decisions forward. You'll create the messaging, positioning, pricing and content for everyone in the buying process, including CFOs, benefits leaders, consultants, brokers and TPAs.

This is a chance to build product marketing from the ground up for a high-growth vertical in a fast-scaling company. You'll start as a team of one, with AI being part of how you work from day one. Over time, you'll build the workflows and agents that let this function scale without matching headcount.

As a scale-up business, you can expect your role to develop over time. Here are some of the types of things you could be getting involved in:

  • Build deep buyer insight. Understand how self-funded employers, health plans, and their advisers evaluate, buy, and implement imaging benefits. Map the buying committee, decision criteria, and barriers to adoption through interviews with buyers, consultants, industry experts, and executives.

  • Define positioning and messaging. Own the employer value proposition and adapt it for each stakeholder and buying route. Give Sales a clear story on why Scan.com, why now, and how implementation works.

  • Turn analysis into commercial proof. Partner with Finance and Analytics to turn validated analysis into a persuasive savings story. Own how we explain the findings, assumptions, and limitations to buyers. Build a repeatable proof package for Sales to use.

  • Set pricing and packaging. Own market pricing across customer segments and verticals, including competitive benchmarking, pricing models, and packaging.

  • Sharpen the message in the field. Join Sales on live calls and at events. Deliver new messaging alongside reps, hear the pushback firsthand and refine based on what wins. Maintain practical battlecards, run win/loss reviews, and bring field evidence to Product and Engineering to shape what we build next.

  • Equip Sales and partners. Build decks, one-pagers, ROI tools, talk tracks, and consultant briefings. Work with leadership on channel and strategic partner deals, developing partner value propositions, proposals, pitch materials, and pricing inputs. Support partner onboarding and enablement.

  • Lead product and partnership launches. Lead marketing readiness for new employer and health plan products, features, and partnerships. Turn it into a repeatable playbook with agreed positioning, commercial materials, Sales training, and measures of success.

  • Direct targeted campaigns. Agree a small number of employer and consultant campaigns with Sales. Define the audience, message and content, then brief the team on execution. Use targeted outreach, selected events, hosted dinners and data-led content where they support a clear commercial objective.

  • Prove marketing's commercial impact. Work with RevOps to track pipeline origin and marketing's contribution to opportunity progression in HubSpot. Report monthly on partner-originated and marketing-originated pipeline. Use the findings to decide which campaigns and materials we invest in.

  • Build an AI-native function. Use AI daily across research, competitive and win/loss analysis, RFP responses, and content. You’ll move from using AI to building with it: designing the workflows and agents that run core product marketing work. Decide where AI does the work and where people add the most value, and shape the hiring plan from there.

WHAT YOU MIGHT BRING TO THE TABLE:

You don't need to tick all the boxes to apply for this role. Whether it's your first role or your fifth role, we believe everyone can add value, learn, and grow. However, these might be some of the ways you are currently adding value:

  • Experience marketing a complex healthcare or benefits offering to self-funded employers or health plans, and the advisers and partners who influence their decisions.

  • Comfort in the field. You present to prospects, consultants and brokers, and you know how differently each one thinks and operates.

  • Strong positioning and writing skills, with examples of materials you personally built that Sales used in live opportunities. You can brief campaigns and creative to others.

  • The ability to turn claims, pricing and outcomes analysis into credible commercial arguments, working closely with analytical specialists.

  • Experience planning product or partnership launches and targeted campaigns with Sales, with clear objectives and measurable results.

AI REQUIREMENTS

At Scan.com, AI isn't a side project; it's how we work. We expect everyone to use AI to think faster, remove drudgery, and multiply their output. What we care about is judgment: knowing when AI makes you sharper, when it doesn't, and how to use it responsibly around patient data. You don't need to be an engineer. You need to reach for the best tool and get more done as a result.

For this role, you're expected to be AI-Amplified. AI is part of your daily workflow for drafting, analysis, and research, and you know how to check its output and use it responsibly with sensitive data.

Where this role is heading: Over your first year, you'll move from using AI daily to building with it directly. That means designing, shipping and running the workflows and agents behind research, competitive analysis, RFP responses and content production. If you've already built your own workflows or agents, that's a strong plus.

One assessment principle across all tiers: we're testing judgment and adaptability, not whether you've memorized today's tools. Tools change quarterly; the ability to learn and apply them is what compounds.

A VIEW ON OUR CULTURE

We're building something that matters. Every scan we speed up is a real person waiting on an answer, and that urgency runs through everything we do. We move fast, we own outcomes, and take pride in our output. If you like ambiguity, working with ambitious people, and want your work to visibly move the needle, you'll feel at home here.

HOW WE WILL INTERVIEW YOU

We keep our interview process short and sweet. Here are the stages you can expect, but we might switch up the order depending on team availability:

  1. 30-minute introductory phone call with a member of our Talent Team.

  2. If it feels like there is an initial fit for all, we will invite you to a 45-minute video call with the hiring manager. This is a more structured interview that will deep-dive into the role and technical needs.

  3. 'Scan Standard' interview, where our panel screens for values alignment and the success factors that matter at Scan.com. You will also be assessed on your AI fluency at the stage and depth relevant to your role (see AI Requirements above).

  4. Meet the founders and/or other team members. Again, the length varies depending on how many people are involved and whether in person or via video call.

  5. Offer!

WHAT WE OFFER

We go beyond the basics with our benefits package. We believe great work starts with supporting our people. Here's what you can expect from us:

  • Salary range of $175,000 - $220,000

  • Equity

  • Bonus

  • Flexible remote or hybrid work options

  • Dedicated personal development budget
