The Role
This role guides cross functional teams that are charged with product line contributions, from increasing the profitability of existing products to developing new products for the company. This role helps in
designing products from existing ideas and developing new ideas based on industry experience and contact with customers and the market. This role is a unique blend of business and technical savvy, big picture
vision, and driving to make that vision a reality.
Duties include:
- Independently manages the entire product line life cycle for simple or complex solutions.
- Directly coordinates the marketing of products/services including positioning, market segmentation strategies, launch plans, pricing strategies, distribution/sales channels.
- Leverages market and competitive data to prioritize the development of product features and building a product roadmap.
- Develops and implements a go-to-market plan, working with all departments to execute.
- Prepares for and assists in product presentations for executive leadership and shareholders.
- Prepares for and assists in trade shows, demonstrations, and conferences.
- Assists in managing ongoing third-party relationships.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of professional experience as a Product Manager
- Some experience researching and understanding key technical concepts and high technology markets
- Some experience defining and using analytics/metrics/KPIs
- Some experience in Agile development methodology
- Knowledge of Project Management methodologies
- Ability to self-manage and multi-task
- Great communication skills, interpersonal, team building, problem-solving, and analytical thinking skills
