Casap is a seed-stage startup based in NYC founded by product leaders from Robinhood and Chime. We are on a mission to change the way banks operate by building an autonomous banking platform from the ground up. We’re starting with automating dispute and chargeback resolution and already, customers and the industry love our product. Casap is backed by Lightspeed Ventures, Primary Ventures, and a variety of strategic investors and partners.
Casap is looking for a talented Product Manager in NYC excited to supercharge how banks operate with a rapidly scaling product at the forefront of automation and Artificial Intelligence.
About the RoleAs our first Product Manager at Casap, you'll work closely with our founders and engineering team to shape the roadmap and bring highly technical products to market. You’ll own critical areas of our platform, helping translate complex backend capabilities—like asynchronous workflows, API orchestration, and ML-driven decision engines—into intuitive, high-leverage features for our customers. You’ll play a central role in tying customer needs, business goals, and technical execution together, enabling us to move fast and scale confidently.
ResponsibilitiesConduct deep discovery with customers and internal teams to inform product direction, particularly in areas involving backend workflows, API integrations, and automated decision systems.
Collaborate with engineers to design scalable systems and define technical product requirements, including data flows, API contracts, and edge case handling.
Prioritize and manage the product backlog based on engineering constraints, customer value, and business impact.
Act as the technical voice in cross-functional discussions, providing clarity and context around trade-offs and implementation complexity.
Translate user problems into structured product requirements and technical specifications, including clear acceptance criteria and edge case scenarios.
Partner with engineering to scope, sequence, and de-risk features across sprints and releases.
Implement structured user feedback loops and work with data teams (or analytics tools) to validate hypotheses and feature effectiveness through metrics.
Maintain tight alignment with customer-facing teams and support efforts to communicate technical product value and roadmap direction.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
3+ years of experience as a Product Manager, preferably in early-stage or high-growth B2B or infrastructure-focused products.
Strong technical fluency; ability to understand system architecture, APIs, data models, and implementation trade-offs.
Demonstrated experience working directly with backend engineers, designing for systems that include APIs, asynchronous processing, or machine learning pipelines.
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including design, sales, and operations to bring technical products to market.
Comfort navigating ambiguity and balancing technical feasibility with business priorities.
The compensation for this role is a base salary between $140,000-$190,000 + benefits and equity.
Candidates must be local to the NYC area. Candidates based in the SF Bay Area will also be considered.
