💻 Role
Whatnot is looking for an experienced Product Manager to lead the strategy, vision, and execution across critical areas for the company. We have roles that tackle a unique set of problems ranging from selling formats, inventory, ads & promotion tools, and platform. Product Managers are assigned to one of the product areas based on their skillset and team needs. We hire product managers who are comfortable flexing into different areas of the business, tackling multiple areas of opportunity at a given point in time.
We are looking for someone with a strong bias towards action, is excited to work in an ambiguous problem space, and wants to build 0 → 1 solutions and systems from scratch with a focus on user adoption. As a product team, we do what’s best for our customers and the business. We value low-ego product managers who are excited about working in an ever-changing space. You will:
Drive the product roadmap, product strategy and execution for these areas, balancing short and long-term goals.
Roll up your sleeves to define product requirements & work with engineering, data science, operations, and broader teams to bring our roadmap to market at lightning speed.
Take on a wide scope of work across varying degrees of complexity, every Product Manager works directly on the product regardless of level or title.
Establish product metrics and experimentation frameworks to validate performance and user impact
Clearly communicate roadmap, progress, and insights to key teams and stakeholders.
Do whatever it takes to ensure the cross functional team is operating effectively, unblock them and make sure they can move at a rapid pace.
Take ownership of any major blocker to the company’s success.
Be ready to pivot based on new insights. We value flexibility and will stop or adjust projects when necessary.
Uplevel the Whatnot Product Management function as a whole.
Team members in this role are required to be within commuting distance of our San Francisco, CA, Los Angeles, CA or New York, NY hubs.
Curious about who thrives at Whatnot? We’ve found that low ego, a growth mindset, and leaning into action and high impact goes a long way here.
As our next Product Manager, you should have 8+ years of product management experience, plus:

Experience partnering with data science and working within data sets and SQL.
