Cribl does differently.

What does that mean? It means we are a serious company that doesn’t take itself too seriously; and we’re looking for people who love to get stuff done, and laugh a bit along the way. We’re growing rapidly - looking for collaborative, curious, and motivated team members who are passionate about putting customers first. As a remote-first company we believe in empowering our employees to do their best work, wherever they are.

As the data engine for IT and Security many of the biggest names in the most demanding industries trust Cribl to solve their most pressing data needs. Ready to do the best work of your career? Join the herd and unlock your opportunity.

Why You'll Love This Role

Cribl Stream powers the data plane for some of the largest IT and security organizations in the world. As the Product Manager for the Stream Data Plane, you’ll own the core of how data moves through Cribl Stream — from routing and processing to performance, scalability, and deployment flexibility across cloud, hybrid, and customer-managed environments.  This role sits at the intersection of distributed systems, containerized infrastructure, and enterprise data management. You’ll work directly with customers, engineers, and field teams to make the data plane faster, more reliable, and easier to operate at massive scale.

We’re looking for a PM who’s as comfortable discussing persistent queuing and back pressure handling as they are talking to a CISO about hybrid deployment models or Kubernetes scaling strategies. You’ll be shaping how our customers trust Cribl to move, secure, and manage petabytes of their most critical telemetry data.

As An Active Member Of Our Team, You Will...

  • Drive the Stream Data Plane roadmap — from core routing and pipeline performance to scale, resiliency, and observability of distributed systems.
  • Deeply understand deployment models for Cribl Stream across cloud, hybrid, and customer-managed environments — including Kubernetes, containers, and on-prem orchestrations.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering to define technical priorities around scalability, reliability, and performance tuning.
  • Partner with UX and documentation to create intuitive, low-friction experiences for configuring and operating large-scale streaming environments.
  • Engage with enterprise customers to understand their operational, security, and compliance needs across IT and SecOps ecosystems.
  • Analyze usage and performance data to make data-driven decisions that improve reliability, reduce friction, and accelerate adoption.
  • Evangelize internally and externally — translating complex data plane concepts into clear business value for Cribl customers and partners.
  • We are a remote-first company and work happens across many time-zones – you may be required to occasionally perform duties outside your standard working hours.

If You've Got It - We Want It

  • 5+ years as a Technical Product Manager or similar role in enterprise data or infrastructure software.
  • Proven experience with data streaming, observability, or distributed data systems (Kafka, Flink, Logstash, Splunk, Cribl, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of modern deployment architectures — cloud-native, hybrid, and containerized (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm).
  • Experience with enterprise IT and security products, including integrations across complex ecosystems of data sources and destinations.
  • Ability to translate technical performance and scalability concepts into clear product strategy and customer outcomes.
  • Hands-on curiosity — you enjoy running your own labs, learning new technologies, and understanding how things actually work under the hood.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in a remote-first environment.
  • Able to demo and explain products both at a conceptual level and with technical depth.
  • Bonus Points
    • Experience in remote-first, distributed organizations.
    • Background in observability, log management, or data pipeline platforms.
    • Familiarity with enterprise compliance and security frameworks (e.g., FedRAMP, SOC 2, ISO 27001)
    • No fear — speak your mind, share your ideas.
    • Good jokes (or better yet, bad ones)
    • A love for goats. 🐐
