About the Job

Xendit group consists of multiple, diversified business lines and entities across SouthEast Asia which cover a variety of business models and product offerings from online and offline payments to lending to consumers and businesses to e-wallets and banking as a service. Strong risk management and governance is imperative for the safety of the company as well as all our stakeholders. 

We are looking for an experienced professional to help us build the Risk-as-a-Service architecture in our endeavor to develop risk management into our strategic advantage. In this role you would lead the product management, tooling and automation for our Risk function. You will help us build a scalable and adaptable platform to serve diverse needs of various internal stakeholders - acquiring, lending, compliance, cards issuing, banking, etc.

There are four key areas under this role.

  1. Risk Architecture: Design the ‘Risk Stack’ with a deep understanding of Xendit’s risk management use cases and with industry best practices to build our Risk-as-a-Service (RaaS) architecture which will enable Xendit’s Risk team to serve multiple internal business units with diverse offerings.
  2. Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to automate processes and improve scalability of systems by increasing the amount of automation.
  3. Risk Tooling: Identify the relevant tools for risk management use cases and evaluate the available solutions and providers to identify the best solutions.
  4. Project Management: Provide project management for all Risk related cross-functional technical initiatives. You will also represent and advocate for Risk needs in product planning and prioritization exercises.

The role will require extensive coordination with multiple teams across Xendit and you will act as the point-of-contact for all partner teams which rely on Risk for tooling and automation. You will also interface extensively with senior leaders and colleagues from various business units to help them leverage the Risk tools, improving their utilization and adoption, and helping them solve their challenges and needs.

This is a high visibility role which will require strong communication, a good grasp of risk fundamentals, an ability to adapt and be creative, and a lot of patience in dealing with multiple stakeholders. You will be a key member of the Risk leadership team with critical responsibilities, working in a fast-paced environment, and you will see tangible results of your efforts.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in product management for financial services, payments or technology companies
  • Strong knowledge and demonstrated experience with building products for Risk and Compliance
  • Solid stakeholder management skills and ability to influence senior leaders
  • Strong ability to write functional and technical specifications and work with engineering teams to build new products
  • Excellent communication and ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical audience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Degree in computer science or engineering
  • Demonstrated experience in project management and operations excellence or process optimization
  • Experience with fraud and credit risk management at financial institutions or fintech
Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and implementation of architecture for Risk technical stack
  • Identify opportunities for process automation and work with relevant teams to build the automation
  • Support partner teams, such as Compliance, to onboard on to and use the tools and systems developed by Risk
  • Work with Product and Engineering to plan and prioritize Risk related requirements
  • Identify tools and solutions needed by Risk and other supported teams and explore the market for available solutions
  • Manage complex, cross-functional projects to implement Risk systems and solutions
  • Do whatever it takes to make Xendit successful
