At Render, we are on a mission to accelerate software innovation by empowering every developer to ship software quickly, confidently, and at scale. We are achieving our mission by building an all-in-one platform for teams of all sizes to deploy, manage, and scale full-stack applications.

Our product-led approach has led to exponential organic growth, with over a million developers relying on Render to bring their ideas to life. We’re deeply humbled by the love and demand from our customers, and we continue to push the boundaries of technology, delivering exceptional experiences and taking a long-term view on our impact in software development.

Applying to Render:

We're looking for candidates with high integrity, low ego, and an insatiable drive to learn. We use reasoned discussion and constant feedback to improve as individuals and as a company. We cultivate mutual trust and respect, empowering us to debate ideas effectively and create the best outcomes for our customers and our team.

We especially encourage members of underrepresented groups in the tech community to apply and understand that not all successful candidates will meet each requirement listed.

Our interview process is unique to each role, and we value the candidate experience just as much as our customer experience. We hope your conversations with us reflect a thoughtful process that is illuminative, enjoyable, and respectful of your time.

What you’ll do at Render:

  • Lead the Growth product team at Render, partnering closely with Marketing, Developer Relations, and Engineering to accelerate and scale our product-led growth motion.
  • Run a high velocity experiment-driven team the tests rigorous, winning hypotheses and builds on learnings over time.
  • Deeply understand Render's customer funnel and apply creativity and analytical skills to identify the highest leverage opportunities to improve it.
  • Partner closely with core product teams on driving adoption for new products.
  • Be the voice of the first-time user at Render and influence Product and Go-to-market decisions throughout the org with this key audience in mind.

What we’re looking for:

  • 10+ years of experience in a Product Management role, with most of that time working on Growth teams or similar at a product-led growth company.
  • A love of high-quality, well-crafted user experiences and strong intuition for developer tools.
  • Ability to leverage data and qualitative insights to develop strong hypotheses and excellent collaboration skills to translate hypotheses into winning experiments.
  • Exceptional communication skills across writing and conversation.
  • Demonstrated track record in tackling ambiguous problems and shaping them into clear outcomes.
  • Ability to be generative and creative when coming up with new ways to support developers as they're getting started on a new platform.

Nice to have:

  • Experience working on pricing and packaging at a SaaS or developer tools company.
  • Experience as a developer professionally or a technical background.

Some projects you might work on:

  • Leveraging creativity and insights to help first-time users evaluate Render more fully and efficiently for their use case.
  • Identify blockers to learning how Render works and build in-product solutions to accelerate developers' onboarding.
  • Developing a deeper understanding of our customers and sharing this knowledge broadly with the organization to influence Product and Go-to-Market decisions.
  • Optimizing Render's free tier to improve conversion.
  • Collaborating with Developer Relations and Marketing to build a coherent and integrated first-time user experience across the marketing site, email, and product.

Benefits

  • Our openings span more than one career level. The starting salary for this role is between $207,000 and $285,000 USD. The provided salary depends on many factors, such as work experience and transferable skills, business needs and impact, and market demands.
  • The opportunity is eligible for equity with early exercise options and extended exercise windows.
  • 4 weeks of paid vacation, available from day one.
  • 14 weeks of fully paid parental leave for all parents to bond with a newly born, adopted, or fostered child. We will also work with you to create a supportive plan of return.
  • Long-term disability, life insurance, and 401K plans.
  • 100% employer-paid medical, dental, and vision coverage for you and your dependents. FSAs are available as well.
  • Monthly lifestyle stipend for wellness, mental health, therapy, hobbies, etc.
  • Monthly cell phone and internet subsidy.
  • Commuter benefits for Renders in the Bay Area and home office stipends for remote Renders.
  • Continuous learning benefits & related support.
