Product Manager - Domains
Wilmington or Gaithersburg
Monday-Friday-8:00am-5:00pm EST
Hybrid Work Model
Role Overview:
The Product Manager is responsible for supporting the business development, client experience and sales revenues across both the existing CSC DBS customer base, as well as engaging in pre-sales activities connected to the sale of Domain Management services by the New Business Team.
Primary Accountabilities:

  • Support delivering revenue growth within the CSC DBS customer base to help the DBC team exceed their financial targets (Cross Sell)
  • Support delivering revenue growth within the existing Domains customer base to help the DBC team exceed their financial targets (Upsell)
  • Support delivering revenue growth within the prospect base to help the BDM teams exceed their financial targets (New Business)
  • Help develop the Domain Management knowledge, subject matter expertise, consultative sales skills and proficiency of the US sales team
  • Help Product Management to monitor customer attrition and mitigate potential issues and cancellations to ensure a continual rise in renewal rates
  • Help Domain team to develop, widen and grow existing client relationships and Domain accounts via structured planning and operation of Domain Management services;
  • Act as a catalyst to ensure that the relevant Domain Management SME is leveraged in sales scenarios so that we increase the client & prospect interaction with our teams
  • Understand, anticipate and act on industry trends and product/service enhancements to ensure team are positioned well to capitalize on any opportunities/threats
  • Work with marketing and product management to ensure that the Domain Management team has a competitive advantage in regard to suitable Domain Management product's to sell to the Domains client base
  • Work with Platform Engineering teams to build and improve applications that comprise the Domain name Management platform
  • Regular reporting on activity and performance to the Global Commercial Director and CTO


Experience:

  • Strong Presentation Skills
  • Understanding across legal, technical and marketing topics with specific relation to the Domain Name Management Services
  • Good sales operations experience
  • An understanding of Consultative Sales Process and Strategic Account Planning
  • Business development and negotiation capabilities
  • Ability to identify strategic opportunities and help create a suitable pitch team
  • Ability to coach, mentor and motivate individuals
