Position Overview
Documents are at the heart of how entertainment productions get made and how production companies pay their people — and we’re reimagining what document management can look like at scale. We’re seeking a visionary Product Manager to own our Document Management Platform and lead the charge in building its next generation. This is a rare opportunity to shape a greenfield platform from the ground up while stewarding a mission-critical capability that touches every corner of our payroll and workforce management ecosystem. You’ll work closely with Engineering, UX, Payroll Operations, and Legal to define a future where documents are intelligent, instantly accessible, and built for the compliance demands of a dynamic industry.

Core Responsibilities
  • Own and drive the product vision and roadmap for the Document Management Platform — setting a bold direction for next generation capabilities while ensuring the reliability and performance of current systems.

  • Lead the end-to-end discovery, design, and execution of a next generation document management system, guiding the architecture for document ingestion, storage, retrieval, versioning, access control, and retention at scale.

  • Deeply understand current document workflows across our ecosystem and use those insights to inform a smarter, more intuitive platform that eliminates friction for both internal teams and external customers.

  • Partner with Engineering, Data, and Architecture teams to define and deliver platform-level capabilities — including document indexing, intelligent search, metadata standards, and integration APIs.

  • Collaborate with Payroll Operations, Legal, and Compliance stakeholders to ensure the new platform meets evolving regulatory requirements, including audit trail integrity and records retention obligations.

  • Translate product vision into clear, detailed requirements and acceptance criteria that give engineering teams the confidence to build and ship quickly.

  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement by leveraging data, user research, and feedback loops to measure impact and accelerate iteration.

  • Regularly present strategy, roadmap, and results to leadership and business stakeholders, building excitement and alignment around where the platform is headed.

Key Qualifications
  • 5+ years of product management experience, with a track record of owning complex, foundational platform products from strategy through execution.

  • A builder’s mindset — energized by greenfield opportunities and experienced in translating ambiguous problem spaces into clear, actionable product direction.

  • Domain familiarity with document management, content services, or records management in an enterprise or regulated industry context.

  • Strong technical fluency with the ability to engage confidently with engineering and architecture teams on platform-level decisions, including APIs, storage systems, and data models.

  • Understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements relevant to document retention, access control, and audit logging — experience in payroll, HR, or entertainment production industries a plus.

  • Proven ability to write clear, detailed product requirements and collaborate iteratively with engineering teams in an agile environment.

  • Exceptional communication and storytelling skills — equally comfortable in deep technical discussions and executive-level presentations.

  • Curiosity and enthusiasm for AI/ML capabilities such as intelligent document processing, semantic search, and generative AI, and a drive to apply them in ways that create real user value.

  • Thrives in fast-paced, transformation-focused environments — energized by the challenge of building what’s next while keeping today running smoothly.
