The Opportunity

As a Product Management Manager, you will oversee the lifecycle of existing mortgage products, ensuring they remain current with investor guidelines. You will work on managing cross-functional projects, including those focused on launching new products or implementing feature changes to existing ones. Key responsibilities include strategic planning, market analysis, and ensuring product compliance with all relevant regulations.

We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 4 days per week. This position can be based in one of the following locations: San Antonio, TX, Plano, TX, Phoenix, AZ, Colorado Springs, CO, Charlotte, NC, Chesapeake, VA or Tampa, FL.

Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

What you'll do:

  • Contribute to the development of the product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned to Bank priorities and member needs.

  • Interpret performance results to inform product or sales forecast and planning.

  • Act as product SME on features and services and collaborates with business partners to provide recommendations.

  • Analyze and evaluate product performance to recommend product enhancements and leads efforts to expand or change existing product features.

  • Partner with operations, phone, and digital teams to provide training and education on products and services, including new offerings and enhancements to existing features.

  • Conduct research on external market trends/design changes, financials, member information and/or transaction data for assigned products.

  • Provide support in developing, editing, and distributing product communications.

  • Coordinate with relevant control partners (to include Legal, Compliance, and Risk Management) to ensure product offerings are designed, implemented and managed in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

What you have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, Statistics, or related discipline; OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.

  • Minimum 6 years’ professional experience in Product Management, Underwriting, Marketing, or the Financial Services sector, demonstrating a strong understanding of mortgage products.

  • Minimum 2 years' product management, or similar strategic management experience (similar experience includes direct support in managing product performance).

  • Experience leveraging data visualization tools and providing requirements to data teams (i.e., Tableau)

  • Experience creating product briefings and presenting to executive leadership.

  • Experienced in market research to create product roadmap, make product decisions and iterate rapidly.

  • Knowledge of applicable Banking-industry laws, regulations, risk, and compliance requirements. ​

  • Agile and adaptable learner: Eager to learn and adapt to new processes and guidelines, particularly within a regulated banking environment, with a willingness to collaborate and learn alongside risk partners.

  • Independent and collaborative worker: Capable of working independently while also effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams.

  • Proven experience in end-to-end product lifecycle management: Demonstrates success in managing the entire lifecycle of mortgage products and services, from inception and development through launch and ongoing management, including feature enhancements, while ensuring adherence to investor guidelines and utilizing project management methodologies for cross-functional execution.

Compensation range: The salary range for this position is: $114,080.00 - $218,030.00.

Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location.

 

Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
