Define and drive product vision for HER, leading cross-functional teams to enhance user engagement and revenue while ensuring community inclusivity.
HER is the world’s largest community for lesbian, bisexual, and queer people. We’re a global, subscription-based consumer product serving millions of LGBTQIA+ users across 55+ countries — helping people connect, date, and build community in ways that feel authentic, affirming, and fun.
HER is part of Match Group, the global leader in dating products, and sits within Match’s Affinity portfolio alongside other identity-led platforms. This gives us the best of both worlds: the scale, insight, and infrastructure of a global organization, with the autonomy, speed, and cultural focus of a small, mission-driven team. Design at HER is not decorative. It’s a core driver of differentiation, growth, and revenue — and a critical way we show up for our community.
We’re hiring a Product Lead to define and drive the product vision and strategy for HER. This is a highly impactful, player-coach role where you’ll shape end-to-end experiences across iOS and Android apps while staying deeply hands-on in execution and decision-making.
You’ll work cross-functionally with Engineering, Design, Data, Marketing, and Leadership to build distinctive, sapphic-first experiences that differentiate HER in the market and drive user growth, retention, and revenue – all while creating a safe, inclusive, and emotionally resonant space for our community.
When it comes to dating, the connection starts online, but the real magic happens once you meet in real life. We think the same is true for creating the best platforms, so we work together IRL in our New York office three days a week. We are open to remote candidates within the U.S. for the right fit.
How you'll make an impact:
- Define and lead the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for HER, aligned to company goals of user growth, engagement, and revenue
- Drive product-led growth, owning key metrics including MAU growth, retention, and subscription performance
- Lead and develop a high-performing, cross-functional team spanning product, design, data, and support
- Partner closely with Engineering, Marketing, and Brand to deliver high-quality product experiences and drive cohesive product strategy and execution
- Use data, experimentation, and user insights to inform decisions, prioritize opportunities, and measure impact
- Champion a customer-first mindset, deeply understanding the needs of queer women, non-binary, trans, and gender nonconforming users
- Balance business objectives with community trust and safety, ensuring a respectful and inclusive user experience
- Establish and evolve product processes and operating rhythms to enable efficient, high-quality product development
- Identify and evaluate new product opportunities, partnerships, and innovations to expand HER’s impact and reach
We could be a match if:
- You have 8+ years of product management experience building and scaling high
- volume consumer mobile products
- You have experience leading subscription-based or monetized consumer products
- You’ve spent 3+ years managing and developing cross-functional teams (Product, Design, Data, etc.)
- You have a strong track record of driving measurable growth across user engagement, retention, and revenue
- You are highly data-driven, with experience using analytics and experimentation to guide decisions
- You are both strategic and hands-on – comfortable setting vision while also diving into execution details
- You excel at cross-functional leadership, influencing stakeholders across multiple disciplines
- You bring strong product intuition and UX sensibility, with a deep understanding of what makes great consumer experiences
- You thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and can balance competing priorities effectively
- You have a deep understanding of and empathy for queer communities, and are motivated by HER’s mission
What’s the Team Like:
- You’ll report directly to the Founder & Managing Director of HER and partner closely with Engineering, Design, Data, and Brand leaders
- HER operates as a nimble, mission-driven team within Match Group, combining startup energy with global scale
- The team is highly collaborative, with a strong focus on impact, ownership, and continuous learning
- Success in this role means building a high-performing team, delivering meaningful product outcomes, and driving sustained growth
