Summary

We are seeking a curious and detail-oriented Product Data Analyst to join our Product organization. In this role, you will turn raw data into meaningful insight—fueling decisions that improve the health and performance of our products and experiences. Your analyses will support cross-functional product strategy, innovation, and optimization for both our clinical/lab test products and our customer experience (CX) solutions.

This role is ideal for someone passionate about identifying patterns, visualizing trends, and enabling data-driven decisions. You’ll work closely with product leaders, product designers, and other stakeholders to design and define key metrics and ensure we’re delivering measurable value to customers. We believe data is fuel for customer-driven growth, and you’ll play a key role in helping us earn that right.

Job Responsibilities

  • Partner with product teams to identify and define key measures of value for our products overall, as well as OKRs and specific metrics for development programs and projects.
  • Use skills in data modeling, analysis, and visualization to directly support data driven decision making within core product areas.
  • Analyze patterns in areas such as product/feature adoption, customer behavior, and retention to uncover improvement and optimization opportunities.
  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable, timely insights for stakeholders
  • Design, build, and maintain dashboards, visualizations, and reporting tools to measure and track product health and business outcomes. Enable self-service for product colleagues.
  • Work with technical and non-technical team members to understand product roadmaps, customer user journeys, and business processes that impact key metrics
  • Become a domain expert for data related asks and questions and assist team members with uncovering answers to their questions using data-driven methods
  • Proactively surface anomalies, insights, and opportunities for optimization.

Education, Experience, and Skills

  • 2–4 years of experience in data analytics, product analytics, or business intelligence.
  • Skilled in BI and visualization tools like Tableau, PowerBI, Looker, Sigma, and Excel
  • Familiarity and experience with database applications and tools such as Snowflake, Databricks, SQL, dbt, Python, and R; fluency in one or more of these.
  • Familiarity with Git/GitHub and version control practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to frame questions, test hypotheses, and tell clear and compelling stories from complex data.
  • Strong communication skills and comfort working with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Healthcare or diagnostics experience is a plus (e.g., revenue cycle, lab, digital health).
  • Bachelor’s degree required; quantitative field preferred (e.g. Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or similar); Master’s degree a plus.

Science - Minded, Patient - Focused.

At GeneDx, we create, follow, and are informed by cutting-edge science. With over 20 years of expertise in diagnosing rare disorders and diseases, and pioneering work in the identification of new disease-causing genes, our commitment to genetic disease detection, discovery, and diagnosis is based on sound science and is focused on enhancing patient care.

Experts in what matters most.

With hundreds of genetic counselors, MD/PhD scientists, and clinical and molecular genomics specialists on staff, we are the industry’s genetic testing experts and proud of it. SEQUENCING HAS THE POWER TO SOLVE DIAGNOSTIC CHALLENGES.

From sequencing to reporting and beyond, our technical and clinical experts are providing guidance every step of the way:

TECHNICAL EXPERTISE

  • High-quality testing: Our laboratory is CLIA certified and CAP accredited and most of our tests are also New York State approved.
  • Advanced detection: By interrogating genes for complex variants, we can identify the underlying causes of conditions that may otherwise be missed.

CLINICAL EXPERTISE

  • Thorough analysis: We classify variants according to our custom adaptation of the most recent guidelines. We then leverage our rich internal database for additional interpretation evidence.
  • Customized care: Our experts review all test results and write reports in a clear, concise, and personalized way. We also include information for research studies in specific clinical situations.
  • Impactful discovery: Our researchers continue working to find answers even after testing is complete. Through both internal research efforts and global collaborations, we have identified and published hundreds of new disease-gene relationships and developed novel tools for genomic data analysis. These efforts ultimately deliver more diagnostic findings to individuals.
