Grab the chance to be part of this. Join a team of open-minded, dynamic people solving new challenges and working on new technology in an exciting market with immense growth. SkyFi is the place for you.

The Job

You will help shape SkyFi's product design, crafting intuitive interfaces across our growing Earth Intelligence platform. This role is integral to the end-to-end design process, from early concept and wireframing through execution and developer handoff across our government and enterprise product portfolio. You will work closely with Product, Engineering, and Sales teams to design experiences that directly impact customer adoption, deal success, and product scalability. You are responsible for identifying user needs, designing AI-native workflows and conversational interfaces, and driving product decisions from initial discovery through launch and iteration. You will be expected to:

  • Execute at a high level: Get your hands dirty with day-to-day execution. You will wireframe, prototype, and deliver pixel-perfect designs, ensuring seamless developer handoff.

  • Design for AI: Design conversational UIs, AI-guided workflows, and intuitive interfaces for complex Earth Intelligence analytics.

  • Navigate a complex portfolio: Adapt and scale your designs across our growing product portfolio, which serves government, commercial, and enterprise sectors, as well as white-label partners.

  • Own the details: Creatively improve the product experience via thoughtful UI choices, intuitive workflows, and rapid iteration grounded in user feedback and technical constraints.

  • Collaborate closely: Work alongside Product Managers, Data Scientists, Software Developers, and other Product Designers to test, measure, and influence design choices.

  • Influence our product strategy and roadmap with unique customer-focused perspectives. Help generate feature ideas and bring them forward towards launch.

  • Take ownership of end-to-end design processes, from initial concept to final delivery, and proactively drive forward on solutions in a fast-moving environment

  • Be an AI super-user: Actively leverage AI tooling in your own day-to-day workflow to design faster, smarter, and more effectively.

  • Advocate for UX best practices and educate the team on design thinking and usability.

This role reports to: Director of Product

What We Are Looking For

Required: A portfolio showcasing your previous design work. We want to see your user-centered design and problem-solving process, but equally importantly, your ability to execute high-quality, pixel-level UI work.

If selected for interviews, we will also ask you to complete a short design assignment.

  • 3-5 years of experience as a software Product Designer. You have enough experience to run with high-level direction without needing hand-holding, but you are still a "builder" at heart who loves the craft and doesn't want to step away from execution.

  • AI-First Mindset: You have a basic understanding of AI/ML technologies and their technical constraints. You also actively use AI tools in your daily life or workflows to boost your own productivity.

  • Flawless Execution: Strong ability to wireframe, rapidly prototype, and deliver polished, developer-ready designs using Figma.

  • Advocate for the Customer: You never lose sight of the human behind the screen. You leverage user research, UX best practices, and direct customer feedback to act as the true voice of the user, ensuring our products are as intuitive as they are powerful.

  • Natural Problem Solver: You possess strong critical thinking abilities, allowing you to creatively navigate technical constraints and drive progressively toward a long-term vision while meeting aggressive short-term deadlines.

  • Autonomy & Agility: Comfortable operating autonomously and creatively in situations of ambiguity with only high-level direction. You have a bias for action and a desire to work in a fast-paced environment where we are constantly discovering new insights.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team setting. You are comfortable shipping quickly, iterating in production, and refining based on real user feedback rather than waiting for perfect solutions.

Bonus Points:

  • Previous experience specifically designing AI-native products or conversational interfaces.

  • Experience building, utilizing, or maintaining scalable design systems, particularly for white-labeled products.

At SkyFi You Will
  • Be well compensated. Possibility for equity

  • Receive best-in-class benefits, including premium medical, dental, and vision coverage, 20 days paid time off, and parental leave

  • Play a critical role in building a market-changing product in the exciting realm of Earth Intelligence

  • Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment that rewards initiative, innovation, and getting things done

  • Have the flexibility to work anywhere in the world

SkyFi is an equal opportunity employer that values and encourages workplace diversity.

Salary Band: $105k-$130k. The salary range reflects US-based roles. Actual compensation may vary based on location, experience, and skills.
