Design user interfaces and experiences for digital products across client industries. Responsibilities include user research, UX strategy, information architecture, user journeys, wireframes, prototypes, usability testing, production-ready UI, design systems, stakeholder presentations, and collaboration with engineering. The role requires ownership of design work, iterative problem-solving, client communication, and occasional mentorship of junior designers.
This is a remote position.
About the Role
Ayrin Digital is looking for a Senior UI/UX Designer to design thoughtful, useful, and visually polished user interfaces and experiences for digital products across a range of clients and industries. You will work closely with product managers, engineers, quality assurance, and clients throughout the product lifecycle, from early UX definition through UI delivery, testing, and iteration. You should be comfortable working through ambiguity, explaining your design decisions clearly, responding to feedback, and balancing user needs with business and technical constraints.
This role is best suited to a senior UI/UX designer with 4 to 8 years of relevant experience who can take ownership of meaningful design work while contributing positively to the wider design team.
- Partner with clients, product owners, and stakeholders to understand business goals, user needs, and project constraints.
- Contribute to project kick-offs, design critiques, and design-thinking workshops.
- Translate product goals and user insights into clear UX strategies, flows, requirements, and roadmaps.
- Conduct or contribute to user research, interviews, usability testing, and competitive analysis.
- Define information architecture, user journeys, interaction models, wireframes, prototypes, and production-ready UI designs.
- Use qualitative feedback and relevant product or business data to evaluate design decisions and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Present UX/UI concepts and recommendations to clients, cross-functional teams, and senior stakeholders.
- Work closely with engineers throughout implementation to ensure the final interface meets the intended experience and quality bar.
- Participate in design reviews and contribute to a consistent, scalable UI design system.
- Iterate on designs based on research, feedback, technical constraints, and changing business needs.
- Contribute to improving Ayrin Digital's UI/UX design practices, processes, and culture.
- Support and mentor junior designers when appropriate.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications (Must Have)
• A bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Visual Communication, Fine Arts, or a related field.
• Non-graduates may still apply: candidates without a formal degree will be considered if their portfolio and work experience clearly demonstrate the UI/UX skills listed above, and a design-focused diploma, bootcamp certification, or other structured design training is presented in place of a degree.
• 4 to 8 years of proven experience in UI/UX design for digital products, platforms, or services.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating UX process, UI decisions, contributions, and outcomes across two or more relevant projects.
• Experience across the full UI/UX design process: user flows, prototyping, usability testing, interaction design, and visual (UI) design.
• The ability to understand complex problems, identify the most important user needs, and turn them into simple, effective interfaces and experiences.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, including experience working directly with clients or senior stakeholders.
• Experience collaborating with product, engineering, research, quality assurance, marketing, and business teams.
• Practical knowledge of responsive UI design, accessibility, design systems, and platform conventions such as Material Design and Apple's Human Interface Guidelines.
• Experience working in, or knowledge of, agile development practices.
• Familiarity with tools such as Figma and prototyping or collaboration tools.
• A thoughtful, detail-oriented approach to UI/UX design, with the ability to give and receive constructive feedback.
