Acuity is seeking a Product Analyst - Insights to support the vision, roadmap, and execution of product opportunities and market strategies. This role will organize and analyze economic, industry, and Acuity data to identify trends, pinpoint areas of concern, and support initiatives to optimize profitable growth potential. The Product Analyst will create actionable insights supported by clear data visualizations, cultivate a data driven approach to identify opportunities and deliver solutions to enhance product performance and elevate customer experience.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Collect information and conduct analysis of the product performance, competitive position, and business results, both insurance industry and Acuity.
- Leverage a data driven approach to communicate observations, conclusions, and actionable insights to business leaders to enhance growth and profitability.
- Synthesize and analyze external macroeconomic and industry segment data while drawing out trends, opportunities, or challenges.
- Partner with Product Leads to provide support and actionable insights on line of business trends and performance.
- Cascade product objectives down to the regional level and help facilitate goal setting and strategic product planning.
- Support the analysis of growth drivers and profitability by tracking and evaluating key business metrics, thereby aiding in the achievement of business objectives.
- Collaborate in researching business ideas, market opportunities, or trends that lead to new product ideas or market opportunities.
- Analyze disparate and complex data sets in creative ways to generate new insights and support varied corporate and product strategies.
- Build effective presentation materials, with clear and easily consumable data visualizations, to guide and support conversations with stakeholders and key business leaders across the organization.
- Work with data teams to create reliable, consistent, and rich data sets for inter-company reporting.
- Build strong relationships across the organization to understand the nuances of geographic markets, product lines, and to develop creative solutions.
- Proactively follow insurance industry trends to support Acuity’s dynamic and ongoing strategies.
- Actively pursue continued professional development, deepening knowledge of analytical and statistical techniques as well as enriching industry knowledge
- Highly regular and predictable attendance.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree or extensive applicable experience.
EXPERIENCE:
Advanced analytical experience, preferably in the property & casualty insurance field, with expertise leveraging analysis tools/software. Proficiency with Excel and data visualization tools such as Tableau and business intelligence platforms such as Cognos preferred.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
- Displays strong capabilities in data synthesis, analysis, and visualization. Solid presentation skills with capability to simplify complex information for consumption by a broad audience.
- Proficiency in MS Office with demonstrated skills in Excel and PowerPoint, including ability to create, manipulate, and formulate spreadsheets and presentation materials.
- Embraces and cultivates a data driven mindset.
- Excellent ability to develop and sustain productive relationships across the organization to support profitable growth initiatives.
- Exceptional research, critical thinking, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excels in verbal and written communications, effectively collaborating with a broad audience ranging from peers to senior executive leaders.

This job is classified as exempt.
The salary range for this position is $65,000-90,000 annually. This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
