General Description: As a Senior Manager of Procurement Operations, you will lead and support global procurement initiatives, including system enhancements, process improvements, and the end-to-end procurement lifecycle. You will also manage the vendor onboarding process, ensuring accurate vendor records, and maintaining compliance with company policies. You will collaborate closely with both internal teams and external vendors to streamline processes, enhance operational efficiency, and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of vendor data.

** This is a remote role BUT we will need the individual to be based in the Eastern Time Zone**

Job Description:

  • Project Management & System Upgrade Process Improvement: Lead and manage procurement system upgrades, user acceptance testing, implementations, and integrations, ensuring alignment with organizational needs and strategic goals. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in procurement processes, including automation, efficiency enhancements, and system optimization. Develop and implement strategies to streamline procurement workflows, reduce bottlenecks, and increase overall operational efficiency. Oversee testing and deployment of new tools or process changes to ensure smooth transitions and minimal disruptions to daily operations. Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend innovative solutions that align with the organization's procurement objectives.
  • Procurement Operations: Serve as the America region point of contact to support procurement P2P escalation, including but not limited to review or approve purchase requisitions, provide guidance on all P2P related questions from purchase requisitions to receiving.
  • Vendor Onboarding: Oversee the onboarding of new vendors and ensure accurate maintenance of vendor data. Confirm that all necessary documentation and compliance requirements are met while ensuring alignment with global standards. Work to improve the quality, automation, and operational excellence of vendor master data maintenance, supporting downstream purchasing activities. Ensure local vendor master data processes are aligned with global standardization.
  • Cross-Functional Support: Collaborate with various business functions such as Commercial, R&D, Finance, Procurement, Corporate, Accounting, and IT to understand and meet procurement needs. Develop and deliver user training as necessary to ensure teams are aligned with procurement processes.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Partner with business functions to ensure vendor onboarding and procurement P2P activities comply with internal policies and external regulations, including but not limited to assess and mitigate risks associated with vendor onboarding and procurement operations.
  • Team Development & Performance Management: Proven experience in mentoring and developing a team to achieve both individual and collective goals. Ability to motivate and inspire team members, fostering a positive and high-performance work environment. Experience in managing employee performance, addressing challenges, and facilitating professional development opportunities.
  • Business Partnership Management:

Maintain strong relationships with vendors and business liaisons/key stakeholders to address any vendor data or onboarding issues or concerns promptly.

  • Reporting and Analytics:

Generate and analyze reports & KPIs including but not limited to Procurement Operations activities and vendor onboarding turnaround time to support strategic decision-making.

Computer Skills:   

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) with a focus on data management and reporting.
  • Extensive experience with vendor management and procurement software (e.g., SAP, Ariba) is a must.

    • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that deadlines are met, and resources are utilized efficiently.
    • Ability to navigate changes in scope, timeline, or resources while minimizing impact to project success.
    • Experience in leading change management efforts related to project outcomes, ensuring smooth adoption of new processes, systems, or solutions.
    • Attention to detail in project execution, ensuring that all aspects of the project meet or exceed defined standards and expectations.
  • Communication:
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with vendors and internal teams.
    • Ability to explain processes clearly and professionally to external vendors.
    • English required; German and/or French a plus
  • Attention to Detail:
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure accurate and compliant vendor records.
  • Analytical Skills:
    • Ability to assess and identify areas for process improvements.
    • Basic understanding of compliance and risk management in procurement.
  • Teamwork and Collaboration:
    • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment, collaborating with various departments (Legal, Finance, IT, etc.).
    • Proactive in identifying and resolving issues, with a focus on teamwork and problem-solving.
  • Time Management:
    • Strong time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Compliance Awareness:
    • A basic understanding of procurement regulations and corporate compliance standards.

Education Required:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, finance, or related field.

Years of Experience Required: 7+

Travel: 10%

Salary Range: $124,900.00 - $169,900.00 annually

BeOne is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Actual compensation packages are determined by several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, certifications, relevant education or training, and specific work location. Packages may vary by location due to differences in the cost of labor. The recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for a preferred location during the hiring process.  Please note that the listed range reflects the base salary or hourly range only. Non-Commercial roles are eligible to participate in the annual bonus plan, and Commercial roles are eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan.
