Global Procurement (GP) is accountable for the strategic sourcing of Direct Materials, Tooling and Equipment, needed for the manufacturing and assembly of Dyson products, securing the material readiness for product launches and achieving the cost targets of the bills of material.

About the roleDefines and drives equipment OPEX reduction strategic and tactical approaches
Formulate negotiation strategies with related vendors and suppliers to secure best pricing for selected equipment and services.
Analyze the full cost structure of each piece of equipment, including direct, indirect, and hidden costs
Develop cost models for equipment categories and provide insights to assist with budgeting and forecasting
Initiates and drives cross-functional and process improvements and cost management activities consistent with company objectives.
Build and maintain strong internal and external networks involving coordination among various groups & stakeholders.
Partners with functional and/or cross functional leadership to influence priorities and objectives to ensure supply reliability, best total cost, on time delivery, minimum risk and best quality
Utilizes leadership and negotiation skills to influence outcomes with internal stakeholders and/or external customers and suppliers.
Leads complex, strategic and business critical projects or initiatives.
Minimum 5 yrs engineering experience; ideally with 2 years of experience in cost related coverage or 3 years of experience in equipment procurement role (OPEX). SAP/ Ariba knowledge is a plus.
This role performs activities related to the sourcing of Capital Equipment and services, in support of Dyson manufacturing plan. (OPEX)

To coordinate sourcing projects, ensure completion to meet project/business needs.
Reviews purchase requests for completeness and compliance with company requirements.
Approves purchases of authorized amounts or size.
Maintains and updates purchasing orders, systems, and documentation. Monitors the cost, schedule and performance metrics of contracts and subcontracts.
Works on other projects and/or assignments as needed.
