About Nooks.ai:

Nooks is an applied AI lab building the Agent Workspace for GTM. We design AI agents that operate across the full sales action set, from account strategy to prospect research and outreach. Building 0→1 has never been easier, but selling at the speed of the market remains the last frontier for AI. Our mission is to 10x every seller by automating the busywork so they can focus on what humans do best: closing deals.

Today, over 1,500 customers run on Nooks, including Notion, HubSpot, Cursor, and Rippling. We’ve raised $70M+ from top VCs like Kleiner Perkins, which made its first sales-tech investment in over a decade with us. Since then, we’ve tripled ARR each year for 3 years running and grown a high-caliber team turning the art of sales into a scalable science.

Job Overview

Great opportunity to be the first full-time procurement hire, and put your stamp on the procurement process beginning to end.

Reporting into the VP Finance, you will own the design, build, operation, and strategic execution of Nooks’ end-to-end procurement process, including owning vendor negotiations, planning renewals, benchmarking pricing, and partnering with budget owners and other leaders across the org. This is a high-visibility, high-ownership role with a clear process optimization and savings mandate, with real influence over our vendor stack and company-wide spend portfolio.

Core Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of the procurement process: intake and request flow, managing stakeholders and requests, setting approval thresholds, vendor onboardings, and leveraging Legal, IT, Compliance, and Finance teams to ensure appropriate flow

  • Lead vendor management, and own the renewal calendar. Surface renewals ahead of time, assess usage and alternatives, and look for opportunities for redundancy, bloat, savings, or optimization

  • Partner with budget owners to help negotiate new and renewing contracts and tools across SaaS, AI and infrastructure, and data products. Benchmark pricing, structure multi-year and usage-based terms, and create forecasts to drive accurate up-front deal structure

  • Make the procurement process clean, visible, and understandable to facilitate easy, streamlined reviews to relieve the process bottleneck. Define when to bring in Legal, Compliance, IT, Finance, and the Executive teams, and oversee the proper functioning of the whole flow

  • Build spend visibility and maintain a vendor expense forecast. Work with the Finance and Accounting teams to categorize vendor spend, track realized savings against plan, and report clearly to Finance, Company Leadership, and budget owners

  • Evaluate existing procurement tools, and leverage AI to build a procurement stack that serves Nooks’ needs

  • Be the main knowledge base on vendor relationships, usage, performance, and ROI

What You Bring to the Table

  • 4-7+ years in procurement, strategic sourcing, or vendor management, with direct ownership in a high-growth tech or SaaS environment

  • Strong track record leading complex commercial negotiations across SaaS and services contracts, examples upon request

  • You can build a process, not just run one. Experience building and optimizing procurement policies, processes, and tools, including automation

  • Experience reading and interpreting commercial contracts and order forms

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence budget owners and department leaders without direct authority

  • Experience working with AI tools in a Finance or Operations function

  • Familiarity with procurement and spend management platforms

  • Strong analytical skills and an expert in Excel, model-building and forecasting

  • As this is a Remote role, ability to operate independently
