Here at The Exploration Company, we are developing, producing, and operating Nyx, a modular and reusable space orbital vehicle that can eventually be refuelled in orbit and that can carry cargo - and potentially humans in the longer run.

We want you as a talented Intern-Procurement Engineer to help us in our mission by ensuring the on time, on cost and on quality delivery of the items we need to build our Spacecraft.

Key Responsibilities

In your capacity as Intern Procurement Engineer your role will be continuously evolving, but day to day your duties will include:

  • Scout, research and contact potential suppliers and evaluate their suitability for our project

  • Actively communicate with suppliers to deliver valuable information to the team and achieve deliveries on quality, on time and on cost.

  • Support the setup of digital processes for optimizing the efficiency of the exchanges between suppliers and The Exploration Company.

  • Identify critical information and efficiently flow it to the relevant persons in the team.

  • Support the procurement team during negotiations with suppliers.

  • Creation of Purchase orders and processing of the related invoices, ensuring that the procure to pay process runs smoothly.

Qualifications / Background

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Supply Chain, or Business Administration

  • Ability to prioritize in view of high and often conflicting workload

  • Knowledge in purchasing processes combined with a delivery mindset

Skills and Behaviours

  • Ability to work equally well unsupervised or as part of a team

  • Strong organizing and prioritization of tasks

  • Positive and flexible attitude to get the job done

  • Ability to communicate at all levels of the business
