AcuTech Consulting Group is expanding rapidly and seeking highly qualified and motivated Process Safety Engineers, Managers, and Consultants across the United States. What You’ll Do:As part of AcuTech’s US PSM team, you will work directly with clients on projects spanning all aspects of process safety and risk management. Successful candidates will proactively apply engineering and problem-solving skills to meet challenging safety and business objectives while seeking out leadership and growth opportunities. Candidates must have high technical acumen, be self-motivated, independent, organized, able to work effectively under direction of senior engineers, and handle multiple work assignments and projects.Position Requirements:
- Managers: 10-15+ years’ experience required; ability to develop and lead cross-functional teams, manage client relationships, develop business and utilize strong project and people management skills.
- Engineers / Consultants: 5-10+ years’ experience; self-motivated, independent, organized, able work effectively under direction of senior engineers, handle multiple work assignments and projects and seek professional growth and development.
- All Roles:
- BS/MS in related engineering field (chemical, electrical, mechanical, fire protection, safety) or associated science degree.
- Relevant experience in process safety management, health, safety and environment (HSE), related experience in process or engineering design environment, manufacturing operations, and/or consulting environment.
- Ability to develop consulting business, including developing proposals and making presentations
- Self-motivated, independent, strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and client service.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and facilitation skills and a consultative approach in supporting customer projects.
- Ideal candidates will be “Seller Doers” with existing client connections and an ability to generate new business.
- Experience in developing, implementing, or managing PSM programs
- Experience in developing, writing, and implementing PSM plans, procedures, design philosophies, design bases, engineering specifications, standard operating procedures
- Experience developing and evaluating/auditing PSM management systems and advising management at all levels of the organization to effect positive change to operational excellence.
- Experience and expertise in PSM Technical Services such as:
- Process hazard analyses (PHA), and risk assessments, or related studies, such as HAZID, What-If, HAZOP, FMEA, and Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA)
- Quantitative Risk Assessment including QRA studies, fault tree/event tree analysis, facility siting studies, fire hazard, explosion, and toxic modeling
- Safety Instrumented Systems services such as:
- Safety integrity level (SIL) assessment, safety integrity level (SIL) assessment based on recognized knowledge of IEC61511 and related standards
- Safety integrity level (SIL) assessment, safety integrity level (SIL) assessment based on recognized knowledge of IEC61511 and related standards
- Experience and expertise in dust hazard management services such as:
- Evaluating processes for dust hazard fire and explosion risks (DHA)
- Auditing for dust hazard management
- Experience and expertise in reactive chemistry hazard management
