Akamai's Information Technology organization is a team of professionals responsible for the strategy, delivery, and evolution of Akamai's Corporate Infrastructure, Applications, Security, Compliance, and Business Systems. As a Principal TPM, you'll shape and lead the cross-functional programs that modernize Akamai's technology and enable scale for the business.

Lead Transformational Programs Across Akamai

As a Principal TPM, you will lead multi-domain programs with visibility at Executive Leadership and Governance levels. Responsibilities include driving global stakeholder alignment, ensuring execution excellence, and guiding teams from strategic planning to operational adoption. Key duties include managing programs related to Oracle ERP Fusion, such as implementations, integrations, data migrations, and enterprise change management.

As a Principal Technical Program Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Defining program vision, strategy, and measurable outcomes aligned to corporate priorities.
  • Leading enterprise-scale initiatives, including Oracle ERP Fusion implementations, with full accountability for planning, delivery, governance, and adoption
  • Building integrated program plans, roadmaps, and long-range execution models across engineering, applications, infrastructure, InfoSec, and business teams.
  • Driving cross-organizational alignment across Finance, HR, Procurement, Supply Chain, Security, and Engineering for highly interdependent workstreams.
  • Managing program-level dependencies, risks, and interlocks; establishing mitigation, escalation, and recovery frameworks.
  • Guiding technical teams through architectural decisions, integrations, data flows, and migration strategies, particularly within Oracle Fusion ERP
  • Managing strategic vendors and system integrators while optimizing delivery quality, contractual compliance, and partner effectiveness.

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have 12 years of experience leading large-scale technical and business transformation programs, including ownership of enterprise ERP initiatives
  • Possess end-to-end program management experience with Oracle Fusion ERP implementations including solutions/program design, data migration, integrations, testing cycles, cutover planning and post go-live stabilization.
  • Bring a solid technical and consulting background to credibly evaluate risks, architectural complexity, system designs, and cross-functional impacts
  • Have a proven ability to influence senior executives, drive alignment among diverse stakeholder groups, and communicate complex topics clearly
  • Bring experience leading programs across infrastructure, security, cloud, SaaS platforms, business applications, and enterprise systems
  • Have solid leadership, executive presence, negotiation skills, and an ability to drive decisions in high-stakes environments

Compensation

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For US based candidates only - the base salary for this position ranges from $126,700 - $263,300/year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. Compensation for candidates outside the US will vary. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP). Akamai provides industry-leading benefits including healthcare, 401K savings plan, company holidays, vacation (in the form of PTO), sick time, family friendly benefits including parental leave and an employee assistance program including a focus on mental and financial wellness; Eligibility requirements apply.
