Within this dynamic organization, the Strategy and Operation team is responsible for defining and delivering Zillow’s long-term media strategy and near-term business plan, working across the entirety of Zillow Group’s portfolio of businesses. As the senior-most Strategy lead, you'll be working at the intersection of technology, real estate, and media to fully own the largest and most complex components of Zillow’s Listing Media strategy. You will also be responsible for translating that strategy into initiatives, products, and business offerings that deliver on it, working closely with Operations, Program Management, Product, Engineering, and Sales colleagues.

As a Principal Strategy and Business Operations Manager, you will leverage your strong strategic background and analytical capabilities to:
Build strategic frameworks that set a compelling vision for the future across Zillow’s business lines
Work closely with Product and Engineering teams to align product roadmaps with long-term strategy, medium-term business objectives, and near-term customer demands. This includes leading prioritization efforts that navigate trade-offs between the demands of competing stakeholders
Architect business models for key products (including pricing and packaging strategies) that maximize revenue
Spearhead comprehensive market analyses that unlock new growth opportunities and guide strategic investments
Lead high-stakes initiatives that directly impact Zillow's market position and revenue growth
Orchestrate cross-functional collaboration and build consensus across a complex organization
Strategic Excellence
Deep expertise in developing and executing business strategies that drive measurable results
Proven ability to identify market opportunities and translate them into actionable business plans
Track record of leading complex, high-impact initiatives from conception to successful implementation
Analytical Mastery
Comfort in analyzing large, complex datasets to extract meaningful business insights
Expertise in creating sophisticated financial models and conducting rigorous market analyses
Proficiency in translating data into compelling visualizations and clear recommendations
Leadership & Communication
Ability to influence and align stakeholders across organizational levels
Strong track record of leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects
Outstanding presentation skills with experience communicating to executive audiences
Demonstrated success in coaching and developing junior talent
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Business Analytics, or related quantitative field
10+ years of professional experience, including both:
Experience at top-tier management consulting firms (at the EM / PL / SM+ level)
Strategy, business operations, product, or similar experience in technology companies
Significant experience working closely with Product and Engineering teams
Proven track record of developing and implementing successful business strategies, including crafting compelling, data-driven narratives to build broad buy-in
Experience leading cross-functional teams and partnering across complex organizations to drive alignment and results
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA or advanced degree in a related field
Experience in media, advertising, or real estate businesses
Expertise in go-to-market strategy (incl. indirect/channel or partnership-led distribution models)
Experience working with AI Product teams, and using AI tools in your day-to-day work
