Position Overview 

Analytica is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Principal Solutions Architect – Development Technical Lead to drive and guide the architectural vision and technical execution of complex data-driven systems. This position will lead the design and development of large-scale data warehouse architectures and support Agile analytics initiatives across enterprise-level projects. The ideal candidate possesses a blend of technical depth, leadership capability, and certification-backed expertise in modern data and cloud platforms. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Serve as the technical lead and subject matter expert for the design, development, and implementation of enterprise data warehouse and analytics solutions. 

  • Define and lead system architecture strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical best practices. 

  • Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, developers, and DevOps engineers to guide all phases of the development lifecycle, with a focus on scalable, maintainable solutions. 

  • Translate complex business needs into reliable, secure, and high-performance architectural designs. 

  • Lead Agile Analytics development teams, ensuring proper sprint planning, backlog grooming, and continuous integration practices. 

  • Oversee code reviews, quality assurance, and system integration efforts to ensure adherence to architectural standards. 

  • Provide thought leadership on cloud architecture patterns and data processing frameworks (e.g., ETL/ELT, real-time streaming). 

  • Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, tools, and platforms to meet data management and analytics requirements. 

  • Mentor junior architects and engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence. 

Required Qualifications 

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a closely related discipline. 

  • Minimum 5 years of experience leading architectural design and implementation of large-scale data warehouses. 

  • Proven knowledge of and ability to organize and execute Agile Analytics development initiatives in professional settings. 

  • Demonstrated leadership in overseeing technical development teams, including mentoring and cross-functional coordination. 

  • At least one professional certification in one or more of the following: Amazon Web Services (AWS), Apache Spark, Big Data, Databricks, or Oracle. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Master’s degree in a technical field or business-related discipline. 

  • Experience architecting solutions in multi-cloud environments, particularly AWS and Azure. 

  • Familiarity with DevSecOps and CI/CD pipelines in Agile environments. 

  • Expertise in data governance, metadata management, and data quality frameworks. 

  • Strong understanding of federal IT security requirements, including FISMA and FedRAMP compliance. 

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to present technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
