Location:                   Remote, USA

 

Compensation:        $182,500.00-$228,250.00

Summary

OneStream Software delivers a unified Corporate Performance Management (CPM) platform designed to meet the complex financial, operational, and analytical needs of large enterprises. The OneStream Platform and Marketplace are built on a sophisticated technology stack that includes OLAP, multi‑dimensional data models, distributed and multi‑threaded services, modern web technologies, and SQL‑based persistence, enabling high‑performance, scalable solutions for the Office of the CFO.


 Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership and strategic direction for the design and evolution of the OneStream platform and Marketplace solutions.
  • Architect and implement highly complex, cross-cutting features that impact multiple teams and product areas.
  • Define and promote engineering standards, best practices, and architectural patterns.
  • Lead design reviews and act as a key decision-maker for major technical initiatives.
  • Drive long-term platform scalability, performance, security, and maintainability.
  • Guide the adoption of modern UI frameworks (Angular, React) alongside. NET-based UI technologies.
  • Serve as a technical mentor and coach for Senior and Software Engineers.
  • Provide architectural guidance on data modeling, serialization strategies, and API data contracts.
  • Lead efforts to improve SQL performance, scalability, and reliability across platform and Marketplace solutions.
  • Partner closely with Product, Architecture, and Engineering leadership to align technical solutions with business strategy.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies to improve quality, productivity, and customer experience.
  • Represent engineering in cross-functional discussions and, when necessary, executive-level presentations.
  • Accountable for technical outcomes across multiple teams, ensuring solutions meet long‑term scalability, reliability, and maintainability goals.
  • Identify and mitigate systemic technical risks and drive strategies to reduce architectural complexity and technical debt.

 Required Education and Experience

  •  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience; advanced degree a plus.
  • 10+ years of professional software development experience, with significant experience in enterprise or platform engineering.
  • Expert-level proficiency in C#, VB.NET, .NET, ASP.NET, Blazor, and associated technologies.
  • Extensive experience with UI technologies including Angular, React, WPF, XAML, and modern web standards.
  • Deep expertise in software architecture, design patterns, and system integration.
  • Strong experience with APIs, extensibility frameworks, and Marketplace-style ecosystems.
  • Proven experience leading code reviews, technical design, and architectural initiatives.

Preferred Education and Experience

  •  Master’s degree in engineering or technology-related field.
  • Experience defining and evolving large-scale platforms or developer ecosystems.
  • Strong background in financial systems, EPM/CPM, or enterprise SaaS products.
  • Experience with cloud-ready and SaaS-oriented architectures.
  • Multiple Azure certifications or advanced Azure expertise.

  •  Exceptional architectural and systems-thinking capabilities.
  • Ability to influence technical direction across teams without direct authority.
  • Ability to proactively identify long‑term architectural risks and guide the organization toward sustainable technical solutions.
  • Expert-level understanding of data representation, transformation, and persistence in enterprise platforms.
  • Ability to identify systemic data and SQL performance issues and drive long-term architectural solutions.
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and coaching skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present to senior leadership.
  • High degree of ownership, accountability, and strategic mindset.
  • Passion for engineering excellence and continuous improvement.

 Travel

  • Regular travel is not expected for this position.
