About the role

Join RADICL as a Principal Software Engineer-Big Data and Distributed Systems Engineer you will become the driving force behind the next generation of data analytics platforms at RADICL! In this pivotal role, you’ll leverage your expertise in big data processing, distributed systems, and data engineering to architect and deliver scalable solutions that power our cybersecurity platform. As a RADICL Principal Software Engineer you will:

  • Architect and implement distributed systems for large-scale data processing and analytics
  • Design, build, and optimize ETL pipelines and data workflows
  • Integrate diverse data sources into core platform features
  • Mentor senior engineers and foster a culture of innovation
  • Evaluate and implement emerging technologies in big data and data engineering
  • Ensure system reliability, performance, and security in mission-critical environments
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to integrate large-scale data into core platform features
  • Drive architectural decisions and technical strategy
  • Evaluate and implement emerging technologies in AI, ML, and data engineering
  • Ensure system reliability, performance, and security in mission-critical environments

Your skillset/experience should include:

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years in a principal or staff-level role or 4+ years experience on 100K+ MPS Data Acquisition/Processing systems.
  • Expertise in Golang (Other languages considered with desire to shift to Golang)
  • Experience with distributed systems (e.g., Spark, Flink, Kafka)
  • Strong understanding of data architecture, ETL pipelines, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Experience with Relational Database (Postgresql, MySql, SQL Server)
  • Experience with data modeling and warehousing
  • Must be a US Citizen

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in cybersecurity, defense, or national security
  • Proven track record of deploying machine learning models in production
  • Familiarity with agentic AI systems, semantic search, or generative summarization
  • Familiarity with vector databases, LLMs, and AI model lifecycle management
  • Contributions to open-source AI/ML or data infrastructure projects
  • Experience with Apache Iceberg
  • Experience with Elasticsearch[Add Desired Skillset/Experience]
